A former presidential spokesman, Doyin Okupe, on Friday lashed out at the organised labour for shutting down the national grid during the one-day nationwide strike.

Okupe said it was evil and sinful for labour to have switched off the national grid during the nationwide strike.

On Monday, labour declared an indefinite strike to push for a new national minimum wage.

The strike led to Nigeria being thrown into darkness as labour supervised the switching off of the national grid.

However, the former spokesman of the Obi-Datti presidential campaign council described the action of labour as unacceptable.

Appearing on Channels Television Politics Today, Okupe said: “In Nigeria today, people are losing the sense of what is right or wrong. You can’t go and switch off the national grid of a nation. It is unacceptable.

“But I also do not blame Labour; the situation should never have arisen. We have a government in place; where is the security? Where is the intelligence? People are taking politics too far. You have a point to make but you should not grind the government to a halt. Labour went off course by shutting off the national grid; that is evil; it is sinful and unacceptable.”

Ajaero will be put in his place. Watch. Tinubu is very clever. He will always stoop to conquer. He needs the support of Nigerians so he will tolerate the misbehaviour and overt sabotage of Ajaero and co for now.

Once Tinubu's reforms start to bear fruit and Nigeria is on the up, positively impacting his popularity and helping him to consolidate power, the likes of Ajaero will be on a one-way ticket to jail trying this nonsense in future.

Tinubu's dealing with Emefiele, before and after he became President, should be a case study for Ajaero and all those who underestimate Mr.President's capacity for ruthlessness because he comes across an amiable and non-confrontational figure.

Fairly predictable chain of events we have seen before and will see again and again.

NLC @ FG levels Minimum wage = 62,000
NLC @ SG levels Minimum wage =<50,000

But na same market everybody go buy things.
Instead make we fight for better Governance and accountability.

Most of you are just supporting your tribe man just because he is the president, can you say this when Jonathan was the president.

Words of Tinubu, Atiku, and Obi meant nothing to me during the election. I just knew that things would get worse. That man called Buhari that left that position is a real disaster. And then, I laughed at the three thieves who planned to take over from him.

Reading from Okupe, FFK, and even Bwala, that guy who dumped Atiku, lol.... you should know that you have to fix yourself without depending on Nigeria.

Nigeria is not going to get better because politicians are still looting massively.

I will repeat it again here....start being self sustainable. Start your garden, grow greens and fruits, and produce poultry meat and eggs. If you can not do this....japa or start earning dollars.

If you cannot do any of the three above, you have two other options....the first is that you keep complaining and hoping NLC will fix it while those guys are using the masses to cash out...and the second is that you accept your fate.....embrace the hunger ahead.

Let me not be a hypocrite here since the shutdown also affected me but I wonder what extreme measures a bit similar to this that ASUU has to take which will make FG quickly take them serious whenever they strike.
