That is very true. At the same time, a student that did not prepare for exam should not expect to pass the exam easily, if at all.

Are u madt ? You didn't say this when Rhor was qualifying us for all tournaments, some with a game to spare. We're you people not the same pple that called for his sack when he drew 4 all in Benin in a qualifier he had almost qualified the country for.

Now SA is a big team, which nonsense big team, when we drew Benin republic, they are still a big team ?
South Africa national team has actually improved a lot over the last two years. In addition, South Africa often take games with Nigeria extra serious.

Nigeria hasn't won South Africa in a qualifying match in almost a decade.

And this is Finidi first competitive game in charge and they team were unlucky not to have won.

I will say we wait till the Benin game before we judge the coach and the team.

Maybe Boniface had a bad attitude in training, or maybe he wasn't fit.

Maybe he was missing chances in training. Why would the coach play him?

You guys sit on the outside thinking it's all so simple.

That's a very wacky excuse to me, at the bolded.
In a critical game like this, you forget about personal attitude and focus more on performance and track record. What we all need is the result not emotional issues.

finidi is just a confused fellow! Thank almighty he was signed for a year. By blocking our captain who won man of tournament in afcon, blocking ola aina n sitting boniface n moffi on bench shows he is not ready for afcon not to talk of world cup.

You cannot blame Finidi for this result. That team was set up to score GOALS.

In the last 20 minutes they must have had at least 10 chances to score.

Those boys just cannot finish a ball to save their lives. Same problem at AFCON.

Final ball always letting them down.

Na who we go blame na
Someone has to come up and take responsibility oh.
Abeg leave Finidi. He has done his job. They played attacking football.

HE WILL NOT GO ON THE FIELD TO CONVERT CHANCES FOR THEM.

See Terem Moffi. OPEN GOAL. He just played one rubbish.

Iwobi same thing.

Lookman same!

Chukwueze unlucky and hit the post.

That team was set up to win and should have won.

Qualification for that matter

As usual very disappointing game. The players had different opportunities to score & kill the game but they were all lacklustre. If Dele Bashiru wasn't in the field, I wonder if SE would have registered a goal at all. The SA players themselves were utterly wasteful. They had more chances even but a draw on our soil is a good result for them.

Finidi is clearly blind for leaving Onauchu on the pitch for that long & not even testing a Boniface upfront. Lookman was surely absent minded in this game. Ndidi wasn't impressive.
Iwobi seemed like the only bright spark but was also guilty of doing too much. It's an overall disappointing game.
Pls don't blame ndidi pls! Why didnt the coach bring troos ekong after he told him that he is perfectly fit? The same thing he did by rejecting ola aina! Why put our best d.midfielder in a defender position?

Disagreeing with your political and world view doesn't actually make me a bigot, it only makes me human.

Defending my tribe against unwarranted attacks doesn't also make me a bigot either.

Thinking I have no right to have a different opinion from yours makes you the bigot.

You will never really understand what happens when people are appointed head coach.

I would never have dreamt Onuachu been in the starting XI.

When u look back at most of the coaches before Finidi it is pattern.

For Peisero it was Uzoho, U can never really understand their decision to stick with under performers, just maybe until we are in their shoes.

I wish them the very best

I hope you know the Nigerian goal was assisted by iwobi..He had a lot of interceptions and counterplay for the team and for me he had a good match.Again I feel they tried considering the strength of the opponent played.

I haven't seen super eagles string passes recently like they did in this match.

I am impressed with the second half and kudos to the boys.

THANK YOU.

Finidi did his job. Those boys need to step up!!

Can you have a bad attitude and play for Guardiola or Klopp or Ancellotti?

They will bench your backside even if it is a final.

You will not be trusted by your coach to do the job he wants you to do, if you are rolling your eyes as he's speaking in training, etc.

Bad attitude also means not wanting to play to the coach's instructions in training.

Don't expect FINIDI GEORGE, who was a Champions League winner, and the best attacking winger on Earth in his hey-day, to kow-tow to little idiots, EITHER.

If Nigeria does not qualify, how do I explain to my son that we might not be watching Nigeria live at the world cup? I already promised taking him to watch the world cup live

Bro, it's the same thing over here. I have made a promise to attend Nigeria matches anywhere in the USA. I pray they make it. It should be based in the Northeast USA, making it easy for me to move around by driving. Anyway, they still have a chance to qualify. They must execute the remaining games with winning results, starting with Benin. If they are not careful, this crop of players will miss and not attend any World Cup before they hang the boot. They missed Quater, and another missed World Cup is potentially staring at their face.

Now that their chances of qualifying have increased, Nigeria has no right to miss any World Cup. If they do, despite continuing to have more slots, it will be a big disappointment for the country called Nigeria.

Looolx! Bro,see if not of redcard he would'nt have beat ghana! I bliv u saw what mali did to us at the second game, while ghana beat off the malians yesterday. He has gat a problem in selecting better players for his games. While troos ekong kept shouting he is fit, finidi ended up slotting ndidi into defense! Looolx ndidi is our best dm but he not fast in pace.

That's harsh, simply say he should get better or be left out of the team.

Turning out to be like Theo Walcot, they start so bright you will think they will become super stars but as time passes you will realise they have nothing else to offer.

Bro, the guy has a point. No disciplined coach accepts bad behaviour from a player, especially when you're not the most skilled or the most talented... I don't know about Boniface's character, but character is everything.

This is one of the best eagle's matches I have watched recently. For those condemning Iwobi, he was one of the best if not the best players on the pitch. That assist was out of this world. He made many attempts and his contributions was good.

The midfield nightmare continues for Finidi just like his recent predecessors.

Since the departure of Victor Moses, Michael Obi, n a few other tough defense midfielders like Onazi, that part of our team has remained the weakest link.

Am sorry to say Iwobi is not the man u want to give such responsibility cos he lacks the strength,
the skill and the will power.
