Car started doing overheating after short drives, mechanic said it’s engine issues, fixed it but it’s still doing overheating! Later another mechanic said it’s radiator, changed radiator same thing, then they concluded it’s the engine, can you guys believe I bought borale engine !! Mechanic fixed it and before I could drive for about 1hr, engine totally Fried and melted !! Now they are saying it’s the radiator that caused it ! Guys I’m so depressed right now, they’ve dismantled the engine and told me to buy another engine again!!!

Please who has a very good mechanic that can handle this ? I want to buy a complete engine and fix this issue, it’s making me depressed and all these mechanics i use seem not to get what’s going on. They are just doing trial and error! Help me with a connect for a good complete engine and also a mechanic that knows his stuff!!! Help before this car kills me abeg

As a car owner, you should know things that can cause overheating and start checking them one by one before even changing the first engine. Things like your radiator cover, your radiator fans, water pump, the radiator itself, the radiator hoses, the thermostat might be stuck in close position if you have one in the car and other things. I believe you would have found the culprit without resoring to change of engine. Anyway the deed has been done.
State your location so that the gurus will know who to refer you to.

I use an Acura mdx 09,I noticed water entering into the car through the drivers side as the rain falls...i am not sure where exactly is the leak coming from,also noticed a leak from the passenger side

Hello House, am using a Camry 2.2l of year 2000 droplight.
When ever i accelerate the rpm always get to 4 before it engages into the second gear.

while moving from 2 to 3rd and 4th gear are smooth.

while moving if i remove my feed from the accelerator pedal, the speed meter will just drop to zero making the car to downshift while the RPM remains on a stable point of 2.

What could be the problem? Thank you.

My Camry Toyota 2002 doesn't climb hills and I've changed the knock sensor. Rewire said I should change brain box bc it's not communicating well with the sensor after scanning.

Mechanic said the car is fitted with 1az engine that I should change to 2az engine for it to be moving well.

You probably have an exhaust leak (might be from the manifold region).
Your recirculation flap is not doing it's job.
Or there's something burning within the cabin.

There's this Toyota Camry 2001 that I wanted to buy, Nigerian used with clean body. Invited a friend who uses same car to check it out but he suggested the rings are not good and that the car smokes after dipping his finger into the exhaust pipe and saw dark smoke in his finger.
NB: He did not drive the car as there was no enough fuel. He only started the engine and left it for some times

Please what's your take on this? Should I invite a technician to check it out? What's the cost of rings assume I have to change them? What's the implication of the dark smoke?

Is it not suppose to remain at the speedlevel at the speedometer? if the car speedometer is on 40 and you remove your feed from the accelerator pedal, the speed suppose to remain at 40 and reduce gradually according to the speed of the vehicle but my own will just drop.

At first i was told to check the speed censor from the engine which my mechanic checked and he said it was ok, the small gear teeth still in tact.

71deg is way below operating temperature, so you shouldn't have closed loop.

I can't see your second picture. But if I understand you, your speedometer reads zero when you ease off the throttle, even when you are still on high speed. So basically, your speedometer only works when you are pressing on the throttle. Right?

Even with my leaky exhaust net,bad plugs..my camry still covered abt 4kms with ac,hard acceleration. 4plugs diff from v6 sha

Yes it only works when am pressing the throttle.

The problem is as a result of faulty speed sensor or speedometer. It is gradually failing and if not serviced or replaced on time will affect your ride especially in gear selection. I advice you take it to an experienced gear box rewire or electrician because it is not a mechanical fault. Do not take the car to mechanics that repair or replace gearbox but rather an electrician that is into gearbox electrical issues. If you need me to refer you to someone kindly let me know. Furthermore, you will notice that while moving the speed meter stops while rpm moves. Once the speed meter stops moving you will notice a malfunction in gear selection most especially when you want to enter gear two from one. I hope this info helps.

Obviously an electrical fault. Get a good car electrician to look at it. I suspect some shorting going on somewhere.

Recently I have been having issues with the car stalling and haltingeven when motion. Mechanic recommended a change of camshaft heads. However, issue persists. The immobilizer light comes on when the car is on and the the rpm reduces and car goes off. What can I do?
