Thanks for the response, I appreciate.
Meanwhile can I deposited the lump sum into my husband account right now? I mean will it not look like the money was deposited because of the interview? I think the VO may be looking at the history of how money is been deposited and withdrawn from the account.
Please what is your take on this.

Also I'm going for master (MPH) but unable to get scholarship, and the capable person to help out is my husband's aunt. what is other option now cause my husband no get such amount.

Hey 🤠

1. I have given you my best idea and possibilities in my previous answer to you. If you do not grasp or understand it please ask someone to explain it to you.

2. Why do you need MPH funding when your sister in law is ready and capable of funding you ? Fundings clears of your school fees and if you cannot get it then your sister in law is ready to clear off your school fees , so what is the problem ?

3. Stop giving yourself unnecessary headache. ONLY Phd F1-VISA applicants needs agitation for fundings.

4. If you want to deposit money into your husband account go ahead but the USA embassy will verify it and they now prefers that the money was (premeditated) deposited like 4 months ago.

Greetings everyone. My cousin got admission to a University in USA & with scholarship attached. She will be sixteen by 1st Oct. Does she stand any chance of getting her student visa approved?
2. We'll get the I-20 by next week. What are the other things to do as school resumes by September. Thank you

Good evening everyone. Please I need your help. I once posted here about being admitted into an MSc program at Georgia Tech but couldn't secure any funding.

I thought I'd defer the admission till next year and continue seeking GA opportunities but I recently got an email from one of the professors I mailed who told me that she loves my work but she currently doesn't have anything to offer but could make something happen by the fall semester. She asked that I reach back to her by early August.

Here are some of my concerns: She asked me to message her by early August but everything concerning registration for my program ends by July. They sent me the form link to get my i20 form over a month ago but I can't fill it out because I don't have any funding source to fill in it. Please what would you advise in this situation? Should I reach back to her and let her know that getting back to her in August might be too late? Or is there anything you think I can do to just pass this phase, is there probably an alternative way to fill the i20 to get me past this stage? Please your advice will be greatly appreciated. I'm quite new to the whole l process, please pardon me if I'm sounding too cliche. Thank you!!!!

Hey 🤠

1. The scholarship attached (entrance, need base or merit) only add a little reputation to her as a bright and outstanding student especially if it's a merit-based scholarship.

2. Another point is that it helps in offsetting part of or all of (depends if its full or partial scholarship) her school fees burden off the necks of her parents or sponsors, thereby satisfying the or some aspect of proof of funds when applying for her F1 VISA.

2. To answer your question, only a merit-based scholarship which she has gotten after written SAT, TOEFL etc, as well as after the overall consideration of her WAEC and Senior Secondary School transcripts will makes the VISA consular gives her a special interview audience which might eventually be a good omen towards her F1-VISA.

3. The core F1-VISA requirements she must satisfy in order to be at least 85% hopeful are ; ability for her sponsor to continue to pay her tuition while she is in the USA, ability to prove to the consular that she will return home after study and, ability to prove her own genuineness as a student , eg why do you want to become a doctor?

4. Go and pay her visa fee (MRV) , pay her sevis fee (as soon as you have the I-20) , create cgi profile for her , fill her DS-160 and apply for her F1 VISA appointment. She must also start mock training as soon as possible.

Hey 🤠

1. Defer your admission as you have reasoned but focus on that professor who have shown interest in your works by continue communication as she is very likely expecting a grant-award.

2. That does not mean that you should tie your academic-life only to that school. Keep emailing related departments in other schools and target the staff profiles for accessible professors. Your works has a good GA omen since one USA professor have shown interest.

3. If however you have passion to continue your academic at G TECH without the GA, then you can find a sponsor who will stand for you by providing his or her financial evidence (bank statement, affidavit of support, etc) in order for you to secure your Form I-20.

4. Then in your DS-160 , you can indicate awaiting GA by printing out your correspondence with the professor
who showed interest, and also explain verbally to the consular on the day of your F1-VISA interview.

Hello NL! I am concerned about a mistake I made on my DS-160 form where I clicked on “YES” when being asked if I belonged to any paramilitary group and its likes. Unfortunately, I have submitted the form and cannot rectify it. Please can this cost me the approval or what can I do? Please advise.

When is your interview? If it’s more than 72 hours away you can fill another form to rectify any error and have it linked to your appointment scheduling profile

Hi everyone, please I need more clarification.
My COA is $35,000. Ms Chemical Engineering this fall.my husband is my sponsor
For statement of account, must it be $35,000 to show proof of fund? We have $20,000 now. Can I face the embassy with that? My first year tuition and expenses is $17k . My husband is saying I should wait until July to complete it as he is still waiting for some payments to reflect in his account, but I don’t have time , classes starts in August

I gained admission last year in the same school, but couldn’t proceed as they had issues with the course and department, I sent Pof last year. I switched to another department, after I received my admission letter, they sent my I-20 form.

Ppl just thinks they can go and gamble at the US embassy after spending millions to get to that stage huh ? Beta go n sort the 15k to reflect in ur statement . Cheers.

Hello Everyone,

Please help!

My spouse was denied an F-2 visa in May.
It seems the VO wasn’t very much convinced about the authenticity of our marriage because we had the marriage in March this year (I came home) and/or probably no strong home ties.
Now, we are planning on reapplying.

My questions;
1. Has been anyone been through this same situation before? How did you restrategize?

2. It’s been over a week and our request to schedule an appointment hasn’t been approved. Please what can we do?

Thank you.

I answered already, and explained that I submitted his statement last year, the school said they had issues with the department as everything wasn’t set yet, I changed to another department and my admission was granted, then my I-20 was sent to me. I wasn’t charged again for another application, I simply switched to a different department.

but your present COA doesn't tally what your husband has in his bank account presently. So how come the school issue you i-20 without having $35,000 in his account? Or did you get some funding?

oh! You mean last year COA wasn’t $35,000? But i thought you're supposed to be assessed based on your present situation which you said your COA is $35,000.

Last year when I submitted his statement it was $35,000 then and it covered my COA, because I had issues with the department, I was moved to another department this January and they issued I-20 form in March , another statement of account wasn’t requested. Maybe due to the issues I had with the department, my documents were forwarded to another department for admission.

From last year until now, the money has reduced…so I am asking if I can present the available 20k USD or wait for more money end of June . I don’t have any grant or scholarship
