The communities should begin to learn serious methods of self defense always act on them, because waiting on government for help is increasingly becoming fruitless.
Moreover there are politicians directly and indirectly benefiting from the banditry menace and sponsoring it, and not to mention the presence of compromised human beings within the military, vigilante groups and even within the communities themselves.

Tinubu did not cause the killings.
Only blame Tinubu for not quickly initiating moves to return zonal or regional government system to Nigeria so that every zone or region will have its laws and policing system.

On a more serious note, what is seen in the north today is the carelessness of their leaders in the past. They are still repeating same mistakes. They keep their people poor and enriching themselves. They are calculating to take over military, economy, and rulership of Nigeria while their house is burning.

By the time the thing becomes huge problem, itt will be easier for other parts of the nation to break away. They will be left with their problems.
