HAVANA — In a move underscoring the historically friendly relations between Russia and Cuba, four Russian ships, including a nuclear-powered submarine, are scheduled to arrive in Havana next week. The Cuban foreign ministry announced Thursday that the fleet will be docked in the Cuban capital from June 12 to June 17. This development comes at a time of heightened global tensions, with Western military support for Ukraine exacerbating relations between Russia and the United States.

Cuba’s foreign ministry clarified in a news release that none of the vessels would be carrying nuclear weapons, emphasizing that their presence "does not represent a threat to the region." The fleet comprises the frigate "Gorshkov," the nuclear-powered submarine "Kazan," the fleet oil tanker "Pashin," and the salvage tug "Nikolai Chiker."

Putin already said he will be directly arming all anti US forces with missiles since the US has okayed Ukraine deploying donated US missiles to strike deep inside Russia.
