Good day nairalanders, thank God this site is a faceless forum... Few weeks ago my dad told me he is HIV positive, when he told me I was disappointed but I made sure I didn't show it and I encouraged him... Him and my mother has been sick for a while and I certainly know he has transferred it to my mum.... My dad was very promiscuous when he was younger even after he married my mom he was still promiscuous. I am the only child and I have been footing the bills for their medical cares I am just 26 years old and I have spent so much and there is more spending still to come.... My father only told me, my mother is not aware of her health status all she thinks it's just a normal sickness happening to her. I have no one to talk to, I don't trust any friends because I believe when I tell them, they will certainly spread the news and you know the stigmatization against HIV patients, it's not good... I am frustrated, depressed and financially drained, sometimes I stay in my room and cry.... To avoid thinking, sometimes I just drink some alcohol... This issue has been in my heart for several weeks I just had to put it on Nairaland to ease my pain. My father just called me today that my mom has been admitted to the hospital, she was too weak to even walk.... Another spending and I am running out of cash, don't know what to do anymore. It wouldn't be this severe if they found out earlier, it's almost late. May God help me and my parents.
I will advise you as someone who has seen similar case but not my parents but a close relative. Forget all this bring him to chosen and those nonsense. First let Ur mum know and educate both parents on what hiv is about and how they can leave their normal life if they take their medication. U don't need every one to know just the two parents. Take them to general hospital because medication is free. They will live their full years but they need to take their medication. They won't be falling sick as long as they use their medication. U see the taking of hiv victim to all this churches and miracle centre was what caused the death of a relative. Take my advice and U will have peace of mind. Mind you medication is free in general hospital

TAKE YOUR PARENTS TO ANY TEACHING HOSPITAL CLOSE TO YOU ASAP AND HAVE YOUR REST. YOU WON'T SPEND A KOBO AS MEDICATIONS ARE FREE. I AM TALKING TO YOU FROM AN EXPERIENCE OF OVER 20 YEARS.

It's not a death sentence, they both can still live a very normal life if they start treatment early and stick to the treatment plans, and in three years time they might even test negative.

I just hope your mom's case has not gone from HIV to AIDS, if not they should commence taking the government treatment plans they will be fine.

So sorry for that, but all hope is not lost, take them to any government hospital let them register for ARV Drugs that will boost their immune system and increase their viral load, do that fast, because from your narration it's like it has eaten deep to her body. God of healing will intervene IJMN

HIV is no longer a death sentence and you don't need to spend any huge sum treating them.

Many hospitals in Nigeria give out anti retro viral drugs and as long as they use these drugs they can live for several years.

There are millions living a happy and fulfilled life with the virus.

There is nothing to worry about

Men who sleep around unprotected are wicked.

If you must sleep around at least protect yourself... Common sense.

Unfortunately, leaving a promiscuous husband is not a guarantee that you won't get a std cos even the next man you will eventually be with may even be more reckless than the one you left.

It is just by GOD'S grace that women especially can be free from the high chance of getting std.

The first thing you should do is to get tested and confirm your mum's status as well so that she will know how to manage herself.

I can't believe op complained more about the money he's spending than the pains of the innocent woman caught in this web.

And to think they (op and his father) still kept the HIV status from her till she couldn't walk... This is totally unfair and painful.

Be like "their mothers" at your own peril!

Nah, you're the one that is saying rubbish. It's about time you got rid of the religious shackles that has drained your sense of reasoning. It beats me how you still believe in such bullshit.

A sane person will advise the op to keep getting retroviral drugs which have been proven to be effective for his parents, not the rubbish you recommended.

You don't believe in God?
You weren't created?
Everything around you....the Sun,the Sea, the Air you breathe, the land on which you walk, the vegetations... just materialized on their own?
No Supreme Being behind their creation?

This is a big burden for you at this age, try heart to heart center available in every state, they give HIV drugs at subsidised. My niece had HIV and fled thier home to my house then, she refused to do test abd I secretly did it and informed her, her pastor made her believed she was poisoned she lived with me for a year and later passed on.She was an only daughter, her father gave up when he was formed of her demise, both were buried the same day.The Lord is your strength dearie

But your parents can be healed of HIV. But I don't know if you are a Christian. Try this in one week and tell them to test again. You can help them since they are not strong.

Do 7 Days Midnight prayers for them. From 12:00 am to 2am. What should you pray about? But first tell them to repent and accept Jesus Christ. You also should do so.

Pray this for those seven days and hold same bottle of water for 7 days as you bless the water each day in the name of Jesus Christ.

(1) By the Power in the Blood of Jesus Christ, I break all covenants my Dad and Mum entered with the spirits, powers, viruses and demons of HIV and Aids in Jesus name. Amen. 2hours (Day 1).

(2) By the Power in the Blood of Jesus Christ, I destroy all dedications my Dad and Mum entered with the spirits, powers, viruses, demons of HIV and Aids in Jesus name. Amen. 2 hours (Day 2).

(3) By the Power in the Blood of Jesus Christ, I destroy the legal grounds, hand writings, decrees, judgements, evil case files my Dad and Mum have with the spirits, powers, viruses, demons of HIV and Aids in Jesus name. Amen. 2 hours (Day 3)

(4) By the Power in the Blood of Jesus Christ, I cast out the spirits, viruses, demons, powers of HIV and Aids in the soul, spirit, body and life of my Dad and Mum in Jesus name. Amen. 2 hours (Day 4)

(5) By the Power in the Blood of Jesus Christ, I replace the blood, cells, DNA of my Dad and Mum with the Blood of Jesus Christ in Jesus name. Amen. 2 hours (Day 5)

(6) By the Power in the Blood of Jesus Christ, I use the Blood of Jesus Christ to speak better things and to speak HIV Negative into the blood of my Dad and Mum in Jesus name. Amen. 2 hours (Days 6)

(7) Lord Jesus, I thank you for changing the HIV status of my Dad and Mum in Jesus name. Amen. 1 hour.
Give your parents the water to drink and go for a re-test for HIV Negative.

You are sick!

What if the next one is actually not worse or what if the woman decides to leave and stay single without worrying about STDs?
