Few days ago I was like foreign or local coach is not the criteria, quality is. I take it back.

Foreign coaches are better for us not in terms of competence but at the level of perception and psychology. We believe in the white man. That's why our players respect them and diss our local coaches.

Abeg they should go and get a white man. We are not yet mature to believe in our own.
We should've hired Tom Saintfiet after Peseiro left. He wouldn't have asked for more than Peseiro. NFF were being cheapskates by appointing Finidi.

Gajagojo:

We have different priorities
I do not think we should go to the World Cup because we don't have good enough players
That is exactly the same place we were in 1989 when Clemence Westerhof came to Nigeria. We did not qualify for the 1990 World Cup and his beginning was a series of disastrous losses but we were patient and REALISTIC
Many youngsters seek instant gratification without work.
Without significantly better players
We will be disgraced if we go to the World Cup
We cannot defend.
So why deceiving ourselves that we are entitled to winning like it is a right?

We should just use the qualifiers as an opportunity to build not deceive ourselves
We are not that good.
I disagree with the bolded. We sure can defend. Afcon showed it. Finidi either has no philosophy or the time was too short to instill it into the players but what we saw today was a disgrace.

In the clause of NFF contract with Finidi, it read that Finidi will still be maintained as an assistant coach if by chance a foreigner takes over him the job of Chief Coach.
As it stands now. NFF might re-visit that clause.

SACK THIS MAN NOW

As we can see clearly we have only one number 9 and that is Osimhen

I see no reason why musa is no longer getting any invites

Our captain should be either musa ,troost ekong or osimhen
As usual na, 9ja mentality once u don approach 30’s you are old outdated and should be discarded…na so dem pursue balogun, because dem don see bassey, dem purse musa because we don see lookman😀🤣

Since this man left, we have found it difficult to qualify for tournaments. I remember how easy he made qualifiers look. Now, as the coach of Benin Republic, it looks like he may have just destroyed our chances of going to the World Cup.

Papa Gernot Rohr, I throway salute for you grin 😎
Good riddance to Rohr forever. If we fail to qualify for 100 competitions, I'd never miss Rohr. He was bunkers.

Whatever trolling or insults that may fly around here, make una excuse Tanimu abeg... He played well for his standard although he could have done better.

Bassey really disappointed the fans today. Let's not even start with Ajayi

Very gba player
Oga Andrew make una leave Sadiq and Tiaminu joor…wetin Bassey and Semi played today?see people no go hear koko oga Andrew,Peseiro killed this team, forget Afcon final.I said it here we are not going to WC,you can’t drew Lesotho and believe you are going to WC,first two matches we drew and failed to have easy six points….many expected poor Finidi to beat South Africa that Keshi and Rohr failed to beat, even Rohr lost at home by 2 nil….not really surprised by today’s match cuz it was glaring against South Africa we are not Playing as a team.

Sincerely I want to take sabbatical from eagles matches, even in the 80s we are not this poo, failing to beat Lesotho,Zimbabwe and now Benin,no no this is damn too painful.

The moment the man named his 25man list without a single left back was when I knew this guy was a real joke as I had feared.

No way Tanimu was better suited as a CB than Torunarigha, Ndah, Akpoguma or Ogbu.

No way Osayi is best suited as a LB ahead of Torunarigha.

Omo I don't want to insult this guy but he is very clueless.

I would have said let's wait for siasia but as e don spoil so, del go say n him spoil of we still fail to qualify.
Those saying Peseiro started the failure are not serious. At least he drew the away game on an artificial turf. This one failed to draw on a good neutral ground football field.
Finidi should finish up the mess.

After the fourth round we are going to be at rock bottom of the log.
With due respect sir, you sef are not serious. Imagine the kind o excuse you're making for Peseiro.

Hmm we reached Afcon final with only cleared cut winning against Cameroon, pls go and watch our Afcon matches and see how negative we are even against average Africa teams …sir,Peseiro was a disaster though some may hit me for talking nonsense just cuz of Afcon final but in reality he failed woefully to give us better team after Rohr left and we are suffering from it now…Finidi or no Finidi the team needs real turn around not even now but for the future…..I remembered France failed to make it to 1990 and 94 WC but came out stronger but do we have NFF to give us better eagles,a puzzle.
