I thought Government said they aren't subsidizing petrol anymore. This is to show that they were lying. And it still shows that the government doesn't have a mapped out plan for the solution of our economic woes
I always said Tinubu made a blunder by floating the Naira along side subsidy removal. He shouldn't have floated the naira after removal of subsidy. That would have enabled us have a sort of stable currency and stabilize the price of pms.

What most of you don't know is that, no matter what, fuel will be smuggled out of Nigeria to Benin and Niger because it is officially more expensive in those countries even if it is sold for 5k here.

It is just unfortunate that our customs are almost useless and we also have lots of unmanned and illegal borders.

Guy shut up for once. Talk is cheap. You guys said he should take it back to 300 naira litrs but it's even at 700 naira plus , it's still being smuggled. Imagine its at 300. They just need to increase the salary to at least 100k minimum.

Nigeria has been subsidizing oil in west African to Cameron since 1991.

From Badagry to mile 2 Nigerians always buy in keg to go and sell in neighboring countries

when you have first class in accounting people tend to assume that they know everything hence the sudden announcement that subsidy is gone

That's around $0.415 a litre and means it is now cheaper than when it sold for round $0.4 or N180 a litre. Most of our problem boil down to corruption, disregard for law enforcement, and weak naira.
Same border that food cant be smuggled in through to make them cheap locally is where fuel goes out through. Fantastically corrupt nation.

As if those smugglers didn't pass the customs officials on duty.
