Cornvicts sha... grin

Be like na the era of we should all love Tinubu unless he'd fail we dey now, cause I don't understand this at all...politics in this country has always been bitter and dirty, but we're yet to get to that bitter and dirty stage with Tinubu, at least we've not seen people in the South East carrying physical coffins of the president nor have we seen prominent South Easterners liken him to Nebuchanezaar and call his wife a Shepopotamus (less than a year into his administration I must add)...yet Tinubu's fans won't allow us rest with the South East and South South hates him grin

E be like say na Obiano pass am sef

The only good thing about that law is that there is no Wake Keeping anymore. At least, people fit sleep well for night.

But normally sef all those wake keeping are not supposed to be loud like they usually make it.

Twice growing up I've been traumatized by such wake keeping. One was a Benin man who died in our area; the day of his wake keep overnight ehn, they were just singing mostly sorrowful songs all through the night while drinking and hitting beer bottles with a stick to create sad melody to the dirge.

The second one was an Igbo man who died in his 40's. The man's relatives all through the Wake keeping overnight sang and drank with Merry. I found it quite strange cos u know as Yoruba's we felt such death do not call for much fanfare .

It took growing up for me to understand different people have different culture. But I still feel the two ceremonies should have been done without disturbing the sleep of every other person who don't understand the culture sha

Why is nobody Calling the Kaduna state governor Uba Sani a betrayer like they are calling Fubara sef? Is there any difference between their respective cases?

Uba Sani was El-Rufai's annointed candidate just like Fubara was Wike's, but look at Uba Sani going for El-Rufai's jugular....

He has even called EFCC on El-Rufai's head within a year he took office. His own HOA have already written report and concluded El-Rufai was a thief with the state's yam in his throat. Fubara dey learn work for where Uba Sani dey but most people just overlook the matter.

I remember reading somewhere that Uba Sani wasn't El Rufais candidate initially. He only agreed to support him after much persuasion from party leaders. Perhaps, the foundation was faulty from the start.

Maybe those who follow Kaduna politics closely can enlighten us.

Kaduna 2023: El-Rufai anoints Uba Sani

Ahead of the 2023 governorship election in Kaduna State, the number of persons aspiring to succeed Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai of Kaduna State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reduced as the Governor has anointed Senator Uba Sani and directed other aspirants to support him.

A former Commissioner in Kaduna State who had aspired to contest the Governorship election under the All Progressives Congress ( APC) ,Muhammad Sani Abdullahi Dattijo, has expressed that his earlier ambition was to succeed Governor El-Rufa’i in 2023 but they were directed to step down for Senator Uba Sani.

Kaduna was in a celebratory mood by friends and political associates of Senator Uba Sani on Thursday, as news filtered that the Senator representing Kaduna Central, was given the nod by Governor El-Rufai.

According to reports, El-Rufai had at a meeting on Wednesday, compelled his former Chief of Staff and two-times former Commissioner of Budget and Planning, Muhammed Sani Abdullahi, popularly known as Dattijo, to shelve his ambition for the governorship and pick the form for Kaduna Central Senatorial District.

In a statement, Dattijo explained that at a meeting on Wednesday morning, the Governor directed that they rally round Senator Uba Sani for the Governorship seat. He however lamented that the Governor had asked “that I pick up the form for the Senatorial seat for Kaduna Central. While this outcome is not what we have planned or hoped for, we have accepted it as Allah SWT’s will provide to whom he wishes, when he wishes.“Therefore we have entrusted our future to Him and prayed the State and the Nation will have the best of leaders in 2023.

Maybe he was not his original candidate sha, but whatever must have made him annoint him ahead of others showed he he definitely preferred him to others. Nobody dey shout betrayer

Friday nights were days boys look forward to...picture an owambe and more, obito was it and the rice hits different with musicians serenading you with confirm highlife...

Was part of the culture I had to adjust to for someone who was not born and never grew up in the state, celebrating the dead than the living, people getting loans to do it or pressuring themselves to while the dead might not be well taken care of when alive

It's not like they are merrying oh

When a young person dies, young people will sing and dance; thats just a way of paying their own tribute.

They can do it all night sef.

Who is a godfather ? Wike? What makes him a godfather and El-Rufai not one?

Because from HOA to Commissioners and even LG chairmen are loyal to Wike. If you ask me, I can guess that he picked all of them.

But a whole Rufai is dragged by every single Kaduna lawmaker. Definitely, he isn't the finger that picked them

Well, u have a point with the HOA members and LG chairmen that were handpicked by Wike .

But then I feel the current governor of kaduna state can stop the HOA members if he actually has El-Rufai's interest at heart like most annointed governors are expected to do for their predecessors. I'm sure Ododo will not allow such move against Bello in kogi fester under his watch

Lol, one of the most popular musicians in Benin goes by Obito Commando cheesy

I think the Obito thing has reduced sha (might be connected with the economy), but those early to mid 2000s dem, it was pretty much a culture, used to have friends in UNIBEN then that'd every Friday night follow the sound of the music from school to the different Obito's around.

So I have a question.

Larride if you get answer, e go help.

The PIB has stopped subsidy and it is also not captured in the budget.

So where is the money for subsidy payment coming from?

Should be from NNPC. NNPC will be paying the differential which will mean they won't remit money to the government like they were doing under Buhari.

And it would even be extra shocking if it turns out that your wife is from this zone of people that majority of them hate you.

She wasn't born in Nigeria and not sure she has the likes of ballzproblemz and many that see Yorubas as their enemies, as an immediate family member.

I honestly don't know o.

U know there's a lot of hide and seek going on with the subsidy removal/payment , but I won't put it past NNPC being the one sorting the subsidy payment in their own way.
