The AI put rent at 12k, that is assuming that ones annual rent is 144k, I dont know where you would get a moderate selfcon for anything less than 170k around some places in Nigeria  ...Secondly, it placed utilities at 7k, that is: water, electricity and gas ... Assuming that the gas there is cooking gas, I don't know how many kg you use in a month, but for me, that 7k will prolly cover just that, NEPA bills due to the increased tariff is prolly more than that, unless ofcourse you have a prepaid meter in your house, so it isn't feasible...I could go on and on, but the fact is that, 62k cannot give one the barest minimum level of comfort in Nigeria, considering the strength of the current economy ...111 Likes 8 Shares |

The reality is that what Tinubu has destroyed as per the economy can never be rescinded again. Standard of living will continue to get higher day by day. Even if petrol get down to 200 per litre things will still not remain the same. Garri can never go down to 600 per paint and beans will not go down to the same level it was before. The labor force of federal govt of Nigeria is about 2million, Let's inflate the figure because of corruption and looting to 3million. We sell 1.5 million barrel of crude oil daily @%90 per barrel which equals to $135million daily. Let's assume 40% of this funds is shared across states then %20 is spent on salaries while the fg retains the rest 40% for capital and reccurent expenditure. 20% of 135million = $27million. Multiply by 30 days in a month= $810million. If you divide this figure by 3million workers, that's $270 per individual workers. Depending on heirachy, I see no reason why the FG can't pay a minim wage of $120 as minimum wage. That's about 140k In naira if you deduct $20 for pension and tax. If labour are being realistic 140k is a fair deal, that 60k they are all talking about is absolute hogwash and I'm not joking. So also the 250k labour is requesting. 14 Likes |
