Not true. I have seen 8 and above.

Get the right learning material, practice wide and you're good. The trick is to follow instructions. Know your punctuations. Know your tenses. Don't be too casual. Get a writing template, practice before your test and replicate in your actual test.

If you need to build yourself up with the Use of English language, you can get the book: A-Z JAMB Use of English by Dele Ashade.
I always recommend people go through that book first before practicing with any other English language proficiency test study material.

What did you submit ? First try to find out the details of the program on the invitation to apply (PNP or express entry).

Unfortunately we used an agent so we don't have first hand access, only what he shows us when we visit his office or what he video/screen shots and sends to us.
We applied for Express Entry, we took the IELTS and passed. I'm the main applicant, so we used my grades and work experience for everything. We have done medicals, and Biometrics. Submitted the requested passport photo size and given everything requested.
The issue now is our application when we saw it starts with V following 9 digits, and my friends in Canada are concerned that its a visitor's visa and not Express Entry which should start with EE.
We rushed to his office for him to show us the application and he opened it, but the page doesn't state anywhere whether its a visitor's application or an Express Entry applicationšŸ«Ø
August will make it 1 year since we did biometrics, while we started the process last year April, 2023...so its officially been 1 year since we started the process.
At this point we are just praying.

Please can anyone confirm what the different codes mean
Like W698654329

Is it possible for an application to start with a V, but when the visa comes out the code will come out with another Alphabet initial?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by aworhmabel: 6:31pm On Jun 11
This is just me guessing oohšŸ˜. I think the next draw which will likely be today or tomorrow will be the general draw followed by a category draw which is transport draw (I am just using the past draws to predict). I noticed that transport draws are usually conducted every 3months and they always fall on a Wednesday.
So my guess is general draw will be held today while transport draw will be held tomorrow.
eniola1010:
I am patiently waiting for the new healthcare draw. French has been released, pnp has been released, stem and general has been released, i think if any is to be released it should be healthcare

Yes u can if u av evaluated your bsc via WES.

So if u av Wes, Ielts and Tef. That would be great. Especially if age is on ur side (u might just qualify for the french draw).

Hello great Nairalanders,

I'd like to ask, my ECA will be 5 years old this year and I wanna upgrade it by adding my latest certification to it, after paying and doing the upgrade processing, do I still need to process "order for duplicate" that is been done after 5 years for WES renewal?

Thanks as I await your response

Which noc did you use for healthcare. Can I claim msc psychology education degree with my current health care assistant noc or with my former job as a school guidance counselor. Which is advisable?

Thank you. Noc code was 33102. Your course of study has no bearing on your noc, especially with 33102. So just evaluate and use your highest degree.

You can combine work experiences but let the healthcare be your primary NOC and it shouldn't be less than six months experience in the last 3 years.

PNP is the Provincial Nominee Program.

How do you know you applied for PR through Express Entry? Do you have the required results in IELTS or any other approved test of English Language? After your PR application, did IRCC send to your an AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt)? If you don't have the foregoing, it's likely you're being lied to by your agent.

Hqaaaaa, you need to put in work at this point, go on YouTube, write Canada Express entry, start from page one of this group, you need to be fully informed on what your agent is doing for you.
It seems you have been scammed.

For more insights my beautiful lady, you said in uk you were doing support. Was your support in clinical settings like nhs/hospital/clinic or was it in residential/in patientā€™s home setting

If your application number starts with V, then it is not Express Entry (permanent residency). Your agent is playing a fast one on you. You don't need any agent for Express Entry, you can do it all by yourself.

Why would you even need an agent? Sorry, but that was a bad decision. This particular application is the easiest to do without an agent. Furthermore, there is no way an agent can have your best interest at heart. Only you can have your own best interest at heart. An agent will only do what is convenient for him/her, as long as it keeps the money flowing. And if the agent is Nigerian, then it is even worse.
Look through this thread, there are many people who failed using agents and who then had to circle back and do it by themselves.

please we need advice on the next thing to do concerning an issue about a Canadian visa. A nigerian travel agent assisted us to apply for a visa and told my brother that it was an internship. to cut the long story short we never heard anything from the canadian visa center after biometrics for over 1yr. so we asked the agent to cancel the application. right now hes not talking to us. we re trying to apply for a canadian tourist visa and the agent is not saying anything to us because we need the previous details he used for the other application. what do we do now? how do we get the information's he used previously? please advice pls on how to retrieve my brothers information so we can go ahead to apply again.

thanks

Healthcare Support worker and it's a care home.

Thank you. Do you advise someone to use residential care 44101 to apply, even though the jobs description is the same as 33102. Do you think its possible that ircc calls oneā€™s employer to verify oneā€™s position, though i highly doubt they have time to do this. Or do you think they dont really care the koko is the job description and one is good to go. Because ur case is a fresh hope for many.

Thanks for the Info. Did you submit reference letter and 6 months payslip? What of care agencies that pay weekly and some week you may not get shifts is this considered as continuous 6 months full-time work?

if 44101 is not on the qualified list for the category then you cant use it. If the job role/description is the same why not use the 33102. I work for an agency that sends us to different places. Care homes, nursing homes, residential, and supported living so I'll use the 33102. My question is 6 months full time is it counted in hours per week in a month. Because with agencies it's not every time you get shifts but you are under their full-time employment. Do we get to show 6 months worth of pay slip week by week in total of what they consider full-time hours?

This can't be worse than what happened to a friend. Agent applied for agri-category and because of the long silence after medicals and submitting the necessary doc. He abandoned their file. After 5 months when my friend asked to check for information she had previously filled as she wanted to start afresh on another category, they found out they had passport request 5 months earlier. Heartbreaking. They tried their luck and submitted passports but it came back empty. Very few of these agents actually know what they are doing and have your best interest.

Please ask questions. Don't be shy (nobody knows you for here). Who dey ask questions no dey miss road.

The harm these agents cause... Imagine over a year... And it's visit visa.
These are only the ones we've heard o.
My people learn to love reading, read and research. The only reason you should be using agents are if they're immigration consultants or you lead a busy lifestyle and it's a trustworthy person whom you'll follow bumper to fender and will give you unencumbered access to your account.
Most of these people are heartless and are only after their own profit.

Was talking with a friend, telling him express entry and he was just shouting hard, hard... saw him with one agent in the area, and when I told him(the agent) I'd done my application myself and permanent residency for that matter, he stopped me from participating in the conversation. Only heaven knows the lies he has sold to my friend.

My people, research and be patient! We want fast fast, let me be in Canada after this Sunday's service. It doesn't work that way.
Just watch that agent will tell you guys their usual, that you can convert visitor visa to work permit when you land.

Your input is valid. Why i asked her is because you know most healthcare ppl in uk, must of us fall under the 44101 even tho the job description is 33102. Of course its 33102 i would advise anyone to use, i am just weary of a situation where ircc will call your employer ā€œthat is if ircc actually does that anywaysā€ and if the employer is too over zealous and going to jabo that you arent a nurse assistant and what you actually are/is a home/residential care support/care worker ā€œthat is where my own fear isā€. I, personally i am not affected cus i work in clinical settings. I am just asking cus i got folks in uk in the dilemma. Again these folks in question have requested ref letter from there employer, some of the employer agreed to put nurse aide, why some oversabi one who follow the book to the core are adamant that it is exactly what they are they will put as the role position on the ref letter, which is support worker/home care assistant.

But this ur case is dicey, cus in agency sometimes u can do 20hours this week, 10 hours the other week, and on some weeks 40hours, so far u can prove that in each month of that 6month you are doing minimum of 120hours. You are good to go. Even if ur hours no really complete still go ahead. There is no harm in trying. Furthermore, why do u want to submit payslip? Its not required. Dont look for trouble. Just submit your employment letter or ref letter that states you do at least 30 hours weekly or 120hours monthly.even if you dont actually do up to those hours. Ur ref letter or employment letter is the koko.
