Gajagojo: Oga sorry to burst the bubble 💭 look at our nation and the state we are in . Apart from music 🎵 and films nearly every area of endeavour has gone backwards. Our universities use to have world level ratings. Most government secondary schools are in a shambles. Without deviating into politics without a will and a comprehensive reorientation of our national psychi , bros this is how it's going to be for years to come. 2 Likes |

TheGoodJoe: Dude looks at the ballers England is producing now . They have ditched kick and rush, blood and guts long ball. Look at the English players now you talk about them all the time. That's two decades of investment in training emphasis on technical ability, skill and Athleticism etc |

One problem we have is that we waste our friendlies. We should use fring players like samson tijani, taminu, ismaila sodiq, olawoyin in friendlies to find out how good or bad they are. Instead, we use our full squad for our friendlies. This is the major problem. Have a midfield of samson tijani, nwakali and Raohael onyedika an attack of arokodare olakunle olusegub (u17 guy from russia) and yira sor in a friendly. Let them play for 90 minutes and see what happens. In that way we can discover new talents and if a player is not good enough we will know. OK in our next friendly let us try ebenezer akinsanmiro and victor eletu to see what they can do. If we claim our experienced players are not serious then the best way to replace them is in a friendly not when it is 10 minutes to go , ieobi and osimhrn are playing nonsense and it seems nobody can do anything from the bench.Friendlies are important I. Order to see who is good who needs time and who is outright horrible. WE SHOULD STOP WASTING OUR FRIENDLIES!!!!. NOW I DONT Wnt Any nwakali debate. GOOD PLAYERS ARE DISCOVERED IN FRIENDLIES NOT IN DESPERATE CIRCUMSTANCES 4 Likes |

Our woes will be compounded should we have a run away leader in the group. If SA does well against other teams even if they lose to us we are not gonna make it. |

komekn:There is no bubble to burst I was an adult when we first went to the World Cup. I know when we won the nations cup for the first time. I remember Odiye''s own goal. So I know where we used to be Many kids now think it is a right to be on top without earning it saying ordinary Benin as if it is by mouth If it remains so for 20 years it is no tragedy . One day it will change because we have it in us but we must work The koko is that there are good players all over Africa especially West Africa Where did George Weah Come from? A basic thing like appointing a coach on time should not be an issue The starting point is government should stop funding NFF let the private sector fund it and control it like a business. Afterall FIFA does not allow government control so why is government putting money that encourages corruption |

Philosopher1979: First of all youth football cannot be used to anchor ⚓ anything with regards to senior team selection. Because you were good in youth football is only indicative of potential but it's not conclusive. Until players play first team football week in and week out giving consistent continuous top level performances in Club and league. They should not be invited to the SE. There is a need to place emphasis on merit's not sentiment and possible favouritism. Good players are seen playing in club and league showing high level ability and quality, not in a FRIENDLY. SELECTION must be by merit not sentiment. |

Goke7: Nigeria as a whole doesn’t know how to manage and maintain success. That’s why we constantly have to rebuild from scratch. We fail to manage and maintain. Won the AFCON in 2013 then failed to qualify for the 2015 and 2017 editions. Similarly, went to the 2023 AFCON final but are stuttering in our WCQ |

faithtemisan93:Finidi got it wrong by starting Ndidi alongside Onyedika. The pair seems to have no clear definition of roles whenever they start together, as evident in the match against Mali. He should have dropped one for the other, while starting Yusuf. His mid-field needed a work horse like Yusuf. Before the match I predicted a 3-5-2, with Chukwueze and Lookman leading the attack. Onuachu was average against SA,Boniface is unfit while Moffi didn't have the best of games from the bench. |

Gajagojo: African players are dominating European football. Many find this a hard pill to follow. But the reality is that the bulk of our top level players are going to come from the diaspora. As the nation contends with decades of failed leadership. The word we hear 🙉 everywhere is JAKPA. I wonder how many millions people of Nigerian origin are across Europe , America, Australia, etc. But the reality is that the current system is not going to produce the next Okocha. There is no will and spirit to do so. Local Academies are looking for quick gains which means money 🤑. Unfortunately I did not JAKPA. 1 Like |

Omo if someone woke me up and told me the Super Eagles of Nigeria are dragging second to last position with Zimbabwe in an expanded world cup group that has teams like Lesotho, Rwanda, and Benin republic...I would have slapped the person for such insult and gone back to sleep thinking it was all a dream. But here we are, this is our reality in 2024. Honestly this calls for an emergency situation in our football, Tinubu has to get involved and implement some tough decisions right now before it gets worse. Left for me, i no send person papa so I'm a firm advocate of overhauling 80% of this team, call up any fringe player(s) out there who will give his word and bond to fight till the last to salvage our world cup hopes, then such players should be made national heroes. I'm all for calling back or even begging veteran players like Victor Moses, Balogun, Ighalo and any other active player to come back and save us in our remaining games. These current set of guys apart from Osimhen and Ekong just don't have that rugged Naija never-say-never in them, these ones are IG models and banger boys on Twitter. All hands must be on deck to make sure we win our remaining games and at least make the playoffs where we can decide our fate. NFF must send their best delegates to beg our veteran players who have retired to come back and make history for themselves! We are in a football crisis right now. |

mrwilliams9: I have always advocated we build on our successes no matter how little but that’s when we still start arguing about eye catching football Honestly I saw this coming you can’t be changing coaching crew with important qualifying matches underway we shouted this but some will say the same coach drew the first two matches but that was before Afcon now something happened in Afcon, build from there, ok your midfield is weak, tweak it. If musa was motivating the team from the sidelines as a non playing captain why can’t he continue the role thru the qualifiers, why throw everything away why why why? For God’s sake are we cursed? What’s wrong with us as a nation. We keep self sabotaging, okay injured players the ones on the bench at Afcon nko why bring in too many new players now, so many questions. Ndidi was not in Afcon why make him captain or lead the team haba too many changes in just 4 months. Nonsensical nonsense 3 Likes |

Here is the only way forward if super eagles is must go WORLD CUP. (Nwabali, Ndidi, Osayi, Chukwueze, Onuacho, Moffi and Iwobi) these people should not play any games till the qualifiers finishes. End They are not ready for world cup and I won't talk much. |
