Stuff is Nigerian football had a coaching problem. From my observation the average Nigerian coach lacks knowledge of basic things in modern football.
Coaching is fundamental to football as teaching is to education. We don't coaching seriously.
Most Nigerian players are badly coached from their youth that's all. We need a coaching revolution.

Agreed 💯 without question ❓

You see that 1994 set they're the problem of the super eagles
Besides keshi and siasia the rest of them are pests to our football development

The earlier we get rid of them off our football growth the better for us

1994 set are not the problem,
some of them might not be good enough,
but how about some of them that are good?

Siasia played good football with U20 WC and Olympic silver to show for it,
Keshi won us AFCON,
Amuneke won us U17 World cup.

Oliseh and Finidi can b said to b woeful,
Eguaveon failed but not woeful.

Six of them have been tried on d national team job,
three of them was successful, three of them failed.

So how do u justify getting rid of them entirely when some has proven to b successful?

I don't know why Finidi can't just humble himself and resign
He will save himself a lot of vawulence if he steps down now.

Rwanda 🇷🇼 in uyo

And away in Rwanda 🇷🇼

Lesotho 🇱🇸 in a neutral ground (probably SA),even if we play the match in heaven, we suppose win

With a good team selection and a good coach ,we shouldn’t have problem winning this 5matches.
Why we no go press panic button when na sexy football we wan play, you wanna win the remaining matches? We got to be ruthless cos the hostility we will get from any country hosting us if na all this soft football Una wan play make Una forget am. Keep looking at these teams as small teams and you’d end up in draws throughout

All hope is not lost, we can still qualify to the world cup via playoffs or as the second best team cause the other teams above will inevitably drop points vs each other.

But Finidi has to be honorably sacked before the summer abeg, nice of him to step up to the national call but tournament football is evidently far above him, African football isn't for just any Joe or Harry.

A seasoned foreign coach has to he hired ASAP, doesn't matter if he's a journeyman, as long as he has a solid experience coaching in Africa. Get in a Rohr or Tom Saintfeit type of coach who have loads of tournament experience under their belt. These type of coaches will come cheap and they will fancy a chance to make history by qualifying us from a tough situation.

Let's ditch the sexy football and play the Peseiro/Rohr unattractive but safe and effective type of football, a solid defensive football with pace on the counter. After we win our first two next games 1-0 or 2-0 then we can have the momentum that comes with winning.

Lastly we must make sure all our experienced players are fit...Balogun has to be recalled. The likes of Ndidi,Iheanacho, Ajayi have to be permanently dropped for good, these guys simply are pass it. It's time for chances to be given to the likes of Ndah, Torunarigha, Benjamin Federick, Igoh Ogbu and even Tosin if he wants to take a shot at a world cup experience with Nigeria.

In attack, it's time to build around Osimhen and try call up Solanke, Chuba Akpom and George Ilenikhena. We also need Simon Moses cause he's more experienced in this African tournaments.

With a New foreign/experienced coach, a huge chop and change in this present squad, and the massive support of the government with funds and logistics...we will have a better fighting chance to qualify.

Otherwise with Finidi or any of those guys from the 1994 generation, it's bye-bye to the world cup.

It is out of our hands because winning the rest our matches does not guarantee us 1st place. We need Benin and SA to lose (or maybe draw) the rest of their matches in order for us finish with higher points. Those possibilities aren't certain.

You’re correct, even if we win out, SA will still need to draw or lose one.

Nwabali is better than Okoye o
Don’t know why you guys are disrespecting Nwabali because he’s not playing in Europe

Nwabali appears more comfortable with the ball on his feet and playing from the back.

Okoye still has a lot of experience and playing time to do to catch up with Nwabali
Udinese that were somewhat battling relegation
That’s how you guys will say they should use a gittery national team goalie and blunders would reappear left and right
Bassey made an error and Nwabali did the right thing
He was quick to action
Unfortunately they scored
None of the goals were his fault
The last time he made an error was corner kick against Ivory Coast in final where he misjudged and came out of the post
His quick thinking and rushing out made us avoid a clear one on one goal situation against South Africa
The one Taminu eventually nodded out

Nwabali made a huge school boy error, running out of his goal 🥅 in panic leaving it WIDE OPEN gifting a goal to Ishola Olaitan.

Bassey missed the clearance but had time to recover narrow the angle, block the shot, out muscle Ishola and or tackle him.

Nwabali gifted the goal 🥅 poor decision making.

Nwabali is not better than OKOYE that's not proven, add to that players improve. The Okoyr of today is not the same as yesterday 🤔

As we're here debating about sacking Finidi or not, let's not forget the player factor too. This set of players lack the drive, zeal and passion we expected them to have. Imagine arriving camp two days to the first match. Time for training, Dem go carry phone and MP3 dey form.

Imagine the rubbish the so called pros were serving us. Something they dare not do at their respective clubs. Like I said earlier, the players must show they need the world cup ticket more than anything else.

I HAVE FANTASIZING GOOD NEWS🤪 that may come out to be real

if this Eagles are super and get sense, march qualifier is when we should start clipping all these teams at the top😩😩
First leg in march MD5
Rwa v Nig
Zim v Ben
SA v Les
i see the 4pts gap reducing to 1pt gap..if more determined full fledged and soundly coached 9ja team can beat Rwanda even if its 1-0..Gernot Rohr will struggle to beat Zim Next year, SA may likely extend their 4pts gap ahead of us by beating Lesotho
More like
SA 10pts
Rwa 7pts
Ben 7pts
Nig 6pts
Les 5pts
Zim 5pts

second leg in march MD6
Nig v Zim
Ben v SA
Rwa v Les
By this second game, if super ugwu can jus help us nick Zim 1-0 and “Rohrpeseiro” the whole defense, i see us closing the gap, cos either SA beat Benin or Benin beat SA or both playing out a draw..if Benin does win SA and Rwa beat Les they all of them will be on same 10pts and 9ja will be 1 or 2 point behind them
SA 11pts(draw) or 10pts (Loss) or 13pts(win) vs Ben
Ben 10pts(win) or 8pts(draw) vs SA
Rwa 10 pts(win) or 8pts(draw) vs Les
Nig 9ts (win) vs Zim
Les 5pts
Zim 5pts
Then september fixtures will now tell you who is going to the world cup

cos in september it will be
MD7
Ben v Zim
Les v SA
Nig v Rwa

MD 8
SA v Nig
Ben v Les
Zim v Rwa
september matches will give us the doctor scan report of who is going to the WC

THATS IF NFF, COACHES AND PLAYERS CAN BRING IN SOME MAD TURN AROUND 🔥….or atleast give us the energy of games we played against
Guinea Bissau, Cameroon,Angola at Afcon

Omo if someone woke me up and told me the Super Eagles of Nigeria are dragging second to last position with Zimbabwe in an expanded world cup group that has teams like Lesotho, Rwanda, and Benin republic...I would have slapped the person for such insult and gone back to sleep thinking it was all a dream. But here we are, this is our reality in 2024.

Honestly this calls for an emergency situation in our football, Tinubu has to get involved and implement some tough decisions right now before it gets worse. Left for me, i no send person papa so I'm a firm advocate of overhauling 80% of this team, call up any fringe player(s) out there who will give his word and bond to fight till the last to salvage our world cup hopes, then such players should be made national heroes. I'm all for calling back or even begging veteran players like Victor Moses, Balogun, Ighalo and any other active player to come back and save us in our remaining games. These current set of guys apart from Osimhen and Ekong just don't have that rugged Naija never-say-never in them, these ones are IG models and banger boys on Twitter.

All hands must be on deck to make sure we win our remaining games and at least make the playoffs where we can decide our fate. NFF must send their best delegates to beg our veteran players who have retired to come back and make history for themselves! We are in a football crisis right now.
so you want jagaban to be affecting only rice and beans and workers? No dear , everyone must collect including players. I didn't even bother to watch the match coz I already know the result

Totally agree with you on this. I however think the bolded absolves the administrators of responsibility. Yes the media can be funny but they don't make these decisions. Their options on NFF leadership doesn't move a needle, their opinion on policy chances doesn't move a needle we can't then credit them with coaches appointment and player invitation.

They are free to have an opinion on who should be the coach or who should be invited, it is however the responsibility of the NFF to take the best decision on the interest of Nigeria and historically the NFF hasn't been known to do that.

What you fail to realise is that our qualification is no longer in our hands. Even if we hypothetically win all of our games, any of those teams with 7 points can still afford to lose one game to us and win the rest and still qualify. So we do not just need to win we need 3 teams to lose to us and draw or lose at least 1 more game.
