No, he is doing what PrideofLincoln1 did when you didn't take his side 🤣

I enjoy all you guys I won't lie. I miss PrideofLincoln1 only for IjeBos to appear.

He is definitely doing what you do by not understanding what he read and claiming it meant something else. Its the same way you claim people say "maths is racist", when what is being said is, "the way maths is being taught may be racist".

And I was telling you there is not way you have black, whites and Latinos in a room teaching them 2+2=4 will be racist to the blacks and Latinos.
Everyone has to get the right answer in maths, or you show your work because we are not perfect. Answer is wrong? You still get marks for showing your work.

The book says all that are akin to white supremacy. You can reach your own conclusion. The book even say capitalism is white supremacy.

Are you sure you can read and understand at all?

Where did I try to call you a liar?

Was I lying myself when I said I too have done jury service 3 times, or is comprehension a problem for you?

You do know that it Is citizens who do jury service in UK right, or must you live in UK to know that?

Ijebos, please know that I am now most definitely questioning your judgement and your ability to understand what you read!

I don't give a shit what you question. Who are you to be questioning me? Let's keep it 100.

The problem is that you have an emotional attachment to this argument. You don't live in the US, have never been to the US so you have to rationalize why you feel you have expert judgement on all things the US when all of Human hostory tells us to fully understand something you have to fully experience it.

Now to Basilico. To preface this, Basilico doesn't live in the Us, lives in a country that doesn't use a jury system, doesn't really research and is prone to pulling ish out of his ass.

So, when I say he doesn't understand US jury systems because he doesn't live in the US, it is based on my knowledge of Basilco such as the things I mentioned above. Yes, I use my brains to decipher people based on past interactions with them. Whereas in the US, every Tom, Dick and HArry, understands Jury duty.

So, let's move onto your argument that you live in a place that has a jury system and so would explain why you may understand that I most likely served. That argument actually makes my point. You can understand it because you have a cultural reference of being called 3 times. Or you have experienced it. It also makes my point, again, why Basilico having no cultural reference to Jury Duty would think it is odd someone has sat on a jury 2x.

Let me go further even though you may have a cultural reference to jury systems, you still don't have a cultural reference to Us jury systems and the culture that surrounds them. So, your understanding of Uk jury systems will only take you so far in reference to US Jury systems. Unless you believe you are omniscient of course. As I said, it's an ego thing.

Imagine the ego on you to think you know everything about a place you've never been. I guess it's that same ego that allows you to refer to yourself in the 3rd person.

The book says all that are akin to white supremacy. You can reach your own conclusion. The book even say capitalism is white supremacy.

You do not understand the argument. And you are not even willing to consider what is being said. And the reason you do that is because you can't get your head around things that are far too complex for you.

bemeruca, you know I hardly use your name. But I am here because you have children, and though you think I want to rape them, I want the very best for them just as I want for my own children.

Its not about 2+2 and what it equals, but about the entire education system. But if you give black kids a pass for a wrong answer to 2+2, you most definitely are being racist, as you are setting those black kids up to fail in life.

If I give your children a pass for a wrong answer, I am failing them in life! And the only reason I would do something so stupid is to hide the fact that I am unwilling to do my job, which is to educate your children so that they may succeed in life! And if I do that to your black children but not to the white children whom I then go on to teach how to arrive at the correct answer to 2+2, then I am definitely a racist fuq, and you should not let me be your children's teacher!

Ijebos, racism in the American education system would have been a better example of one not understand something because they don't live in America. We had racism in UK schools too, and still do, with a large proportion of black kids being excluded (expelled) because their white teachers do not understand their students, or being told to aim lower and be bus drivers instead of doctors and lawyers and scientists. But its not as bad as in America where entire schools with black kids are not funded equally as schools with predominantly white kids.

I so wish you'd enlighten on this instead of claiming one thinks you are lying about doing jury service that one has done oneself.

Going by your logic, you have to fully be basilico to fully understand he doesn't understand how the jury system works.

I have seen white men speaking my dialect, they were not even born in Nigeria but I can't speak or understand my dialect.

People can know or understand things without experiencing it.

Some people do learn new languages through their keyboard and monitor. In Nigeria, there are French classes one can take. They don't have to go to France to experience French or know French.

They experienced the French language to learn the French language. Period!
Speaking French does not mean you know anything about French culture.
To go further, speaking French you learned on the computer does not mean you understand the cultural context in which to use certain words.
How do I know.? I studied French in highshcool and my class did a trip to France, becasue the teacher thought it was important to do so . to 1.) have to be forced to speak it to get a better handle on it and 2.( to know how to effectively use the language. And she was right.

I don't know everything about USA. My response to Bemeruca above, which I posted before reading yours, where I asked you to educate us about racism in the American education system, attests to that fact you'd find if you bothered.

I repeat, I do not think you most likely did jury service. You said you did jury service, and I believe you did jury service and I have no reason to assume you are lying about doing jury service.

So buda can learn or experience jury process through other means. He does not have to be in the US. Also, we should not conflate experience with knowledge. Many people for millenias experience gravity but they have no clue of what it is.

I am only telling you experience can come without being in the US. Budaatum might have gone to a class where they enacted the American court and jury system.

Maybe because you keep saying things like "buda's ego". I have a healthy ego which allows for the fact that I am not omniscient so there are things I don't know I don't know.

budaatum:

Again, It's a silly notion for anyone who lives in the US to believe someone would lie about that. People believe, only idiots don't get out of jury service. There is a financial cost as you have to be away from work for those days. If you are salaried you have to be paid, but if you work for yourself, it's a cost. They give you a $50 day stipend. My company pays me regardless. Most aren't willing to bear it. My neighbor did Grand Jury service I think it was for 1 or 2 months. He's retired though and wanted to get out of the house. How many people could do that? Could afford that if the work for themselves?

budaatum:

It's the same way you said you went to Harvard and I believe you did go to Harvard because I don't think you'd come here and lie to us about going to Harvard.
I don't care either way. I'm not one of those people who leads with it as most of my friends don't either. And I didn't lead with it here either. Your believe on that has 0 impact on my life.

I think he was mistaking you for basilico. Just like PrideofLincoln1, basilico was accusing IjeBos of always having an experience for every topic discussed.
That's why I said he should calm down because I think he is taking it personal. I commend him for understanding not to take me serious all the time which he is doing these days... But to my surprise, he does not apply the experience he has gotten so far to others.

You are new to disagreeing with him so he will be like this till he gets used to you again. And if he does, the process may start again should Obrigardo disagrees with him.

IjeBos, I think you should chill. Budaatum likes to win argument it's true. We like to argue and some people use this platform to keep themselves busy or not go on a mass shooting. Just understanding you are not guaranteed someone will agree with you. As for me, I am here to troll 🍿😎

Perhaps Ijebos can now accept that we don't need to live in his United States of America before we believe he has served as a juror in the United States of America.

About his Harvard. I do confess that I have begun to have doubts, or perhaps as you say, "their standards must be rock bottom" from what they've made us assume they were.

His, "you don't live in the US, that is a cultural reference you would have no way of knowing", is like the religious person stupidly claiming one can't understand their religion because one doesn't worship their god, and is an attempt to make out they are superior in knowledge when in fact they obviously are not.

The total amount of data on the internet is estimated to be around 44 zettabytes. And a zettabyte is 2 to the 70th power bytes, which is equal to a thousand exabytes, a billion terabytes or a trillion gigabytes.

Its not my field, and nor have I lived in the United States of the Internet, but from the above, you'd need a hefty storage in that laptop or have it connected to a data storage bank center, which would require a lot more than a laptop to run.

But, coming from you Bas, I'd need to check if Ijebos said what you are claiming Ijebos said, same way I'd check if the blue sky you say is blue is not really red.

So you do get seem to get it. Except outside of topics regarding the US where you feel you can gain that knowledge just by blinking ur eyes three times.

But your insecurity in all this is amusing. Like a child lashing out because he was told he was a child. Maybe you can dedicate another 10 posts to lashing out because I told you an immutable truth.

What is misinformation. I post for posterity. Misinfo and disinfo are two terms that became widespread in the wake of the pandemic. You are an echo chamber, a useful idiot out with a club to silence any view opposite to your utopian thinking
I have no interest in the US, but your tax dollars does fund a good part of my lifestyle.
I hope USAID will find our solar proposal across west and northern Africa. More cash for my side business

"I have no interest in the US", says the guy who spends 99% of his time on this forum in this US thread.
The last guy, from this thread (Bemeruca), who said the same thing, pretended he moved to the US and still pretends he lives here. lol.

Everyone in this thread who dedicates their lives to a country they don't live, should get a psych eval IMHO.

It's a healthy habit being here , evaluating whether you are gaining anything.
There is a lot to learn from the internet. As you enter the internet, then go deep into the internet, you go deep completely until you are totally immersed in the internet , there you find solutions to almost anything.
Me I like going into the deepest layers of the internet. It's so overwhelming.
That's my today's advice. Just don't enter the top of the internet.Enter and Go deep completely.
