Omo JB haunted Doncic all night. He searched him out and ate him. The same way Doncic was searching out Gobert, so did JB search Doncic. As hard as Doncic tried to hide, man found him. You must play defense! 3 Likes |

Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 4:18am On Jun 13 |
A foul is a foul! If you think it is 50-50, the advantage goes to the offensive player and that is what this era has dictated. Luka wasn’t set and was still moving. |
Re: The NBA Begins by greypencils: 4:19am On Jun 13 |
Roland17:Una try! Sha thank Holiday very well, otherwise, una for still chop iron this season. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 4:28am On Jun 13 |
greypencils: We have rewarded Holiday with a wonderful contract. Right now, we are thanking Giannis and his dancing clowns. We are talking about a player who had the highest +- of any Buck when they won their championship. Holiday has more impact to winning than Lillard and that is a fact. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

A40: LOOOOOOOL...Adam Silver make the call finished me because me too was expecting any 50-50 call to go the home team's way to prevent any thought of a clean sweep. |

Roland17:Can't deny it. You deserve this one. Next season, we go again. |

Brian Windhorst just shared everything I have been saying about Luka on this thread. They are hard truths but they are facts and nothing will change until Luka makes those changes. Grow up Luka! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUKhCYPhG5c&pp=ygUVYnJpYW4gd2luZGhvcnN0IGx1a2Eg |

Be like sey na only me no watch this finals. To watch highlight sef tire me. The Mavs overachieved this year tbh. I was shocked a Jason Kidd led team made the finals to begin with; with his nonsense rotation all season long. 1 Like |

afrodoc2: Epele Egbon. This Mavs team no try at all. |
Re: The NBA Begins by greypencils: 9:30am On Jun 13 |
Afromentalist:Mavs have never been favorites. Not too many people dig the Celtics on this thread that's why there is a huge Mavs support. We kept shifting the post from Denver to Wolves to Mavericks. Any team from the West literarily. |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 10:25am On Jun 13 |
People will over analyze this game again instead of applying Occam's razor. Another game the Mavs lost by 7 but the Celtics outshot them 17-9 from 3. As anti 3pt spamming as I am even I recognize that is too much a handicap to overcome. The Mavs are essentially starting games down 24pts. Unless you bring back the hand check rule it's mathematically impossible to win when the other team is making 8 to 10 more 3s per game than you every game. What's worse if you hit those 3s it opens up whatever inside game you're trying to play and you expend less energy playing catch up. Taking 25 threes when your opponent is taking 46 (2nd in finals history) is coaching malpractice. Pundits and talking heads will come and play Monday morning Quarterback again when the problem is glaring and obvious. Wetin Luka wan play again wey pass wetin e play today. The Heat beat the Celtics last season by beating them at their game. The only game they won this year same thing. Cavs did same thing in Game 2. Thinking you will beat a team taking combined 50 more 3s than you is insanity. 1 Like 1 Share |

There's one thing I'm sure of: even at 40, LeBron is a better defender than Luka. And Luka is a top 5 player in the league, even with his trash defense. But hey, it's LeBron who needs to retire or get traded because he has no defense 1 Like |

Roland17: I was annoyed when I saw Wolves deferring to Doncic and Irving. You should never be concerned when you see either of those guys defending you. And as you wear them out, it will reflect in their offense |
Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 3:44pm On Jun 13 |

Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 8:17pm On Jun 13 |
birdman: The Wolves disappointed defensively against the Mavs and that made many overstate the true prowess of this Mavs side. Remember Kidd had to burn timeouts to get both out for defensive possessions in previous series. The Celtics know neither Kyrie nor Doncic can stand in front of any of our guards/ ball handling players. |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 8:51pm On Jun 13 |
birdman:Mazulla is basically playing Daryl Moreyball. The difference is he's going to be the one to reap the benefits this year He tried it last year with the spamming but unluckily for him he ran into the Heat team that went band for band with him Think about it. Game 7. Celtics shot 9-42 Heat shot 14-28 People can talk about Luka and what Kyrie didn't do till they're blue in the face. All I need to do is look at the Box scores and see that the Celtics are shooting and making double the 3s at a higher efficiency than the Mavericks. It is mathematically impossible to win a playoff series with those odds 3 Likes 1 Share |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 9:03pm On Jun 13 |
A40:I've not changed my song. In this no handcheckin era you're not beating a competent 3pt spamming team shooting and making so few of them. Unless you get to the line significantly more than them like 16 Cavs vs Warriors especially Game 7. If you're not going to the FT line twice as often. Forget it 2 Likes 1 Share

Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 4:07am On Jun 14 |
A sweep is looking imminent in the NHL. The Panthers are just too much for the Oilers. All 4 lines of the Panthers are physical skaters and move the puck well along the lines. McDavid has to feel gutted, they just can’t match the physicality of the Panthers. Also, I don’t think I have scored on any of their power plays in this finals which buttresses my point. |

A40: Its posible, if you throw away analytics and play traditional high IQ bball. Jaylen and Tatum are rhythm jump shooters. If you play honest defense and tighten rotations and minimize the gimmicks, they wont be shooting like they are in an open gym.. And therein lies the wahala, all these "analysts" hyping Kyrie because of handles, hyping Luka because of box score. Like Mase put it, if you sit down and look at the totality of basketball, both guys really good, all stars even, but all this top 10 guards, best pg ever, all those titles are premature and frankly nonsense. Who here thinks Kyries handles are better than alston rafer? You know how many new york pgs could play that way if it was allowed in the nba in their time? What is the point of Luka dropping bombs on offense and acting like chicken on defense? A more balanced team like the Wolves, or Nuggets or Thunder, or even Warriors/Lakers would have made this series more interesting. |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 2:22am On Jun 15 |
birdman: I've been immensely disappointed by Jason Kidd's defensive rotations considering he was an elite defensive player in his day. The Celtics should not be getting the consistent quality looks they get on each drive This game so far I'm seeing far far better defending and I keep wondering what were they waiting for and what took them so long birdman:Basketball discourse generally is in the pits. Everything happening now nobody never see before. People forget that no idea is original and there's no player today who's facsimile has never existed before. I don't like arguing with anyone online these days especially about ish I was watching when they were shifting their pampers The Nuggets shat the bed the most. They're the team best equipped to compete with Boston. I really believed punched above their weight and for the most part do not match up well with Boston. Problem is their refusal to shoot the 3 means they are not giving themselves a fighting chance or room for error |
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 2:25am On Jun 15 |
Mavs actually competing on defense. Very few blow bys and good rebounding And they're making more 3s than the Celtics. Imagine my surprise they're up 18 |
