RESPONSE FROM META AI...

Wow, that's quite a situation! Based on your story, it seems like your friend overstepped a boundary by opening your drink without your permission. It's understandable that you might feel uncomfortable or even suspicious about their actions.

By moving the drink aside and ordering another one, you were exercising caution and asserting your preference. Paying for the unopened drink was a polite gesture, considering the circumstances.

It's puzzling why your friend reacted so defensively and blocked your contact attempts. Their behavior raises more questions than answers! It's possible they felt embarrassed or misunderstood, but their response doesn't necessarily justify their initial actions.

You didn't do anything wrong in this scenario. Your friend's actions and subsequent reactions are more concerning than anything you did. If you feel comfortable, you might consider reaching out to them via other channels (if available) to clarify the situation and clear the air. However, respect their boundaries if they choose not to engage.

You went out with your friend to the bar, you ordered for drinks, but before they brought the drinks, you went out to make a call. When you came back, your friend has already opened it for you and even poured it in the glass.

You asked him why he did that, he said the waiter wanted to use the opener for another customer so he said let him kuku open it for you.

You move the drink one side and order for another drink. Why you guys finished drinking, you paid for the drink he opened which you didn't drink along with the ones you drank.

When you get home you receive a WhatsApp from this supposed friend asking you what you see him as, that are you trying to say he was trying to poison you? You try to reply him but he has already blocked you on Whatsapp. You try to call him but it's showing busy meaning he has blocked your number as well.

Did I do something wrong. Why would you open a drink and pour it out for someone when he didn't ask you to do so?

This is not the first time I'm coming across this here on NL.
That person is a real suspect and wants to poison his friend. Even if your friend tells you to open the bottle of beer for him, you should not do such in his absence but when you go ahead to pour it into the glass, it already shows your level of seriousness to poison your friend through drinks.

I thought trust was the first basis of friendships. If you don’t trust the person, he is not your friend. I can trust my life with the five people I call friends. Even at that, I occasionally let them know I can cut them off at any point in time without a significant reason. Too many friends are a burden. In the modern world, friendships are overrated. If you want untrustworthy friends, befriend women.

Taken a sip of the beer is not solution, the suspected friend might have the antidote for the poisonous substance rather than the step the guy took by neglecting the already open beer while he was away to receive or make call.

Your death has been shifted.
Keep off. Else that guy will kill you one day.

Go and thank God that you are not yet hi then,
If not, you could have drank the beer.

That killer friend has been planning for you.

Before 5 attempts, you are a dead man.
Cut him off. No reconciliation.
I don't have friends. I don't drink.
Must you drink with people?
Your Life span is in your head .
Thank God for your wisdom.
You are more than Nigerian Breweries......

It's really a funny situation.

If I was the friend, I'd have just carry the bottle and drink. So you know there's no funny play.

Normal levels.

Apologize to each other and let nobody help anybody open anything.

I guess I'd have done the exact same thing!

But I for no even open the drink sed talk more of pouring it into the glass🍷... And I am very sure he also left the drink open!

And how can he use the waitress as an excuse, what then is her job in the first place?
Re: How Una See This Thing. Did I Do Something Bad? by Slickest(m): 1:55pm On Jun 13
Why keep someone you believe can poison you around? If I were him I will block you. Its a heavy allegation. Yes it was wrong of him to have poured your drink but what if he did as a friend? So you expect him to wave it and act like you cool? You showed him he has a tendency of taking your and you expect him to be cool with that. Next time you should be wiser. The moment you noticed that, just change the brand of beer

Oga, you did nothing wrong. If he had sense he should know that under no circumstances should you open another person's drink.
If he did it innocently, then he does not have "opolo".

Anyway, you cannot displease yourself to please another person. E don happen, e don happen, Leave him, someday, he will receive sense.

Pay close attention to what I am about to tell you. Too many people giving you advices here are just mere kids with smart phones and cheap data. They have not had any serious experience with life.
We do not know the kind of friend you are with this person. He might probably had Zero intention of harming you. If he wanted to poison you, he won't open your beer and pour it to the glass for you. It would have been good if you asked him to take a sip from it but you did not. People are saying here that he should have just grabbed the beer and drink it first, depending on the type of friendship two of you have, he may not have the gut to take and drink the beer unless you ask him to do so. Since you did not ask him to sip it, let's not just conclude that he wanted to poison you. His overreacting and blocking you may have been as a result of you not trusting him. Unfortunately he has made the mistake of blocking you out of anger.

My point here is that nairaland can only tell you what you want to hear.
Lastly, you did well by not drinking the beer. I would do the same
