The court of appeal sat today and has directed that parties should maintain status quo prior to orders of lower court pending the judgment on the 20th.

As it stands, Martins Amaewhule is the speaker of Rivers State and the law extending tenure of local government chairmen stands.

I hear Martins and his fellow Assembly members have done a press conference thanking the court of appeal.

Alright. Becuause the way u talk that status quo, I know it is subject to different interpretations. I actually want to read to know how that status quo affects the LG chairmen particularly the loud mouth that claims he won't leave office when his tenure expires.

I done watch the Book of negroes. It was very good

I enjoy slavery movies and series. That's the only trauma genre I watch. I don't like black people doing trauma and oppression movies set in 2024

i always found it extremely strange that all the booster of peter obi could show was a one page summary as handover notes for 8 years.
a one pager with no accompanying text. easy to bamboozle the unlettered , uneducated and underemployed

Economic reforms usually come at a cost sometimes too unbearable to the common man. People like mentioning the developed countries and their economic model to be followed but behind every success/rosy picture there's a dark side that's most often left unsaid; China has to mass starved their population to death due to failed agricultural policies that helped reduced their population, at a time England had to enact Poor Laws and Speenhamland Laws to help cater for the paupers due to highrate of unemployment and underemployment I can go on and on about the economic reforms and attendant consequences. This was why I was against subsidy removal because of the unintended consequences that may likely to follow, I think Ibime and Nihilist were the people who held the same view and time has proven all of us right.

Obi announced at his handing-over, in public, with Obiano and all state accountants right there, that he was leaving 75B in the coffers. Not only that, godfathers and other chop chop politicians were after his head for a long time for it - for not sharing the money and going into debt, as was the practice. They dubbed him miser. Stop wasting your time

Did china steal or blow the money gotten from starving her people
Who's enjoying it now ?
The Chinese people, that mean the sacrifice was rewarded

In naija, economy reform is ongoing
VP renovated his house for billions of naira inside our suffering
Emilokan will travel and pack entourage like he's hosting owanbe still inside our suffering
When china reformed their economy did they review their politician salaries or not instead we changed national anthem and approved almost 100% increment for the so called leaders all inside our suffering

Na when everyone die finish for the country before we know we are suffering for nothing abi is emilokan not borrowing inside this same reform

I'd rather someone who excelled in business,his education policies in the state he governed can be verified and yielding results today,invested state funds, incorruptible and modest politician amongst his peers to bamboozle me than to support a cow herder with Nepa o/level certificate for 7plus years until it seem like he wanted to fvck shit up for another fraud who has had a more disastrous first year,before calling out his bullshitt and incompetence...
