Oando currently Trades At 20.00 rands which is equivalent to N1,600

But you think shareholders will accept 0.083 rands equivalent of N7.07

20 South African Rand equals N1,629.69
0.083 South African Rand equals N7.07

NOTE" 1 RANDS IS EQUAL 82 NAIRA....but oando is trading @ 20 rands.

Appears yourconclusion is right but the basis thereof is wrong

Delisting looking more and more unlikely [/quote]

onegentleguy:

No you're clearly mistaken.

Take a closer look at that image again. What you there there is ZAC not ZAR.
...there's a difference between the 2.

ZAC implies cent while ZAR is the rand equivalent of the South African currency.
1 ZAC = 1 cent, and 1 ZAR = 1 Rand or 100 cent.
By rationalization, 1 ZAR = 100 ZAC... and 1 ZAC = 1/100 or 0.001 ZAR or Rand.

You can see ZAC as kobo and ZAR as your Naira.

OANDO JSE is trading @ 20 ZAC, which is the equivalent of 20/100 or 0.2 ZAR or Rand.
The reason you saw 20 ZAC is because the stock was pegged in cent.

Using the current Naira to Rand Fx rate of N81.48 to 1 Rand, 0.2 Rand = 81.48 x 0.2 = approx N16.3
So OANDO JSE trades @ N1.1 or 7.2% premium above it's NGX CMP of N15.2. [(16.3--15.2)/15.2]
...that's still a good thing.

That said, am also bullish on the coy like you. I did highlight the potential in the coy @ N4+ and subsequently @ N7+. Those who subscribed to my outline recommendations and investment guide--Series 1 knew what they had to do. I was quite specific about the asset.

I laugh really hard when people infer a possible delisting. ...something that was already dead on arrival. It's as if they couldn't read the hand writing on the wall.

There's a reason the coy jumped by over 122% on JSE bourse in one day.
OANDO will go places. But then again, some things are better left unsaid.
...it's a midterm play!

CAVEAT: NOT to be inferred as any sought of investment advice. The need for due diligence should still take higher precedence ahead of this post.

Regards

This quotation in () actually signifies loss after tax and not profit after tax (PAT). The same goes for the EPS

Yes it signifies loss, but with the loss Guiness still got acquired. So since they are all making loss, you can use this as a low level valuation guide

Your information about OANDO's closing price in JSE was incorrect. OANDO actually closed at R0.20 ZAR, not R20 as you stated. This was either an error or an omission of accurate information."

One insurance I have about this OandO is this: if delisting should happen, it can't be at 7.07 rather it will be at the highest closing price in the last 6months (if the rule book is to be followed)... grin

Though delisting is rarely going to happen again for so many reasons. And even with the slightest possibility. Wale must pay me my #20.This is sure bet in my bet naija stock because it will touch #20 before the next court case..l am expecting a withdrawal/discontinuity of the case from Wale left hand called minority shareholders

Stocks pick for the week...

~ FBNH failed to sustain bullish momentum upon pull back...bears might attempt to push price down sub N20 before attracting bargain hunters.

~ Lasaco looking set for a decent run. Any price below N2.20 is good entry for insurance stock lovers.

~ MTN needs to retest previous low before a push to the upside. value zone is sub N190.

~ Transcorp plc bullish close last week looks attractive and very compelling to dive in. currently trading in value zone.

~ WB continues to be mopped up by smart money. accumulation phase now seems to be over. Entry price of >N6.70 is a steal.

~ Jaiz Bank remains hard for bears to crack. At current price, is cheap and ripe for some decent run to the upside.

~ Stanbic faced rejection at every attempt to cross above the N60 stubborn price level. Price to retest previous low (sub N46) before upward reversal.

~ Champion Breweries- the bulls defended support level N2.50 aggressively. Not bad to pick up some units below N2.90.

DD strongly advised.

The only DD anybody needs on Oando right now is to understand that delisting is a matter of 'When', not 'If', until you see a "Press Release" reversing delisting plan.

As of now, your Oando is loaded in a paddle-canoe afloat on turbulent waters, with N7 as your life-jacket.

If you want to post make sure you post with right information. In the past I sounded with some expectations that oando will delist. That was with strong reason that wale will get what he want at shareholders meeting.
What you are saying now is not possible because oando can not go on technical suspension for delisting without shareholders approval. Therefore you cannot just wake up and see oando on technical suspension.

And if oando continues this delisting action with this positive results .Shareholders will not accept 7 plus because the company is now back to profit.

This is one of the reasons I believe wale must have changed his mind.It would have favoured him better for delisting by not trying to make oando back on the floor of jse exchange. It would equally have made delisting easier by renegading in any thing results and positive results at that matter.

Why will he be giving shareholders reasons now to ask for more or reject the offers with his present actions. If you are in his position won't it make street sense to continue to portray the company as a dead company or something heading for doom to get easy delisting. .This way shareholders will quickly accept your offer so they don't lose completely in a dead business.

Ardova continued with negative results till it achieved its aim.How many company with positive results offer shareholders pie nuts as delisting price in this market rather it comes with premium offer for delisting
Not saying delisting is totally off the table but the chances for now is highly reduced with what I am seeing as street credible man,lol
