China was not under imperial Japanese empire. Japan only invaded parts of China which are Manchuria, Nanking, and one other city and China still had it's own functioning government while under Japanese harassment.

There was option to Nuke China during the Korean war cause China was a pain in America's ass. Please type "US plan to nuke China during the Korean war" on Google and you'll see results and even academic journals. It's not a new info now. I am even surprised you don't know.
