obedience4: You are making it look as if Japan controlled China and put it under her. Japan struggled to capture China it was a heavy burden that was unsuccessful cause of China's vastness and the stiff resistance. With or without US in the Pacific China would still have routed Japan the credits go to Mao Zedong and his peasant resistance movement. In this present day America will never engage China. They had tried it once and it was very bloody for them. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

Fash20: For Russia it was either act now or get destroyed later. It was life or death. Imagine Ukraine in NATO. Crimea would have been invaded by now. No black sea access for Russia. That would mean Russia surrounded on all 3 sides. Black Sea access is key. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

dermmy: the Japanese controlled over 30 percent of China, took its capital, drove the government away of it's seat of government in Beijing. Used Chinese civilians as slave labour, used Chinese women as "Comfort ladies to satisfy it's troops, plundered it's resources for its imperialist ambitions. sir if the above isn't control then I don't know what control means. chairman Mao did well, but do you know that the later success he and china would have against the Japanese was after the peace treaty with the KMT patry who will later retreated and found present Taiwan after the civil war started again after the defeat of Japan. Japan had took Korea, took part of British Australia,,captured Beijing, Hong Kong fell next, Indonesia fell like a pack of cards, the Burma, Malay present Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, nobody was going to stop the Japanese ambitions of conquering the whole of Asia. even after the USA entered the war they still captured the Philippines. you saying mao would have defeated the Japanese is a fairytale, the battle of midway was the turning point of the war, and scored the allies their first major victory against the Japanese. 1 Like |

⚡Germany blocks sanctions on Russian gas. European Union countries failed Friday to agree on fresh sanctions against Russia’s lucrative liquefied natural gas sector, according to six EU diplomats, with Germany blocking the deal on the eve of an international peace conference on Ukraine on Saturday. The crux of the package was to ban countries from re-exporting Russian LNG from EU ports and financing planned Arctic and Baltic LNG terminals. “Once upon a time, it was said that we should always blame … Hungary — and now it’s Germany,” said one diplomat familiar with discussions on the package, referring to Hungary’s habit of blocking earlier packages of sanctions. The latest German blockage came as G7 leaders held summit talks in Italy, joined by top EU officials. They were expected to issue a strong statement on trade with China that would also criticize Beijing for providing so-called dual-use equipment that aids Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. The sanctions on the table were to have been a 14th package backed by EU member countries since Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Berlin was worried about broadening a measure that would force EU companies to ensure their customers cannot then sell sanctioned goods on to Moscow. Previously, the so-called no-Russia clause had only applied to firearms, battlefield items and dual-use goods — which have both a military and civilian application. Germany worried its small businesses would suffer if this was expanded to more civilian products, like chemicals, or machinery for metalworking. 4 Likes 1 Share

⚡The European Union and Ukraine have asked Azerbaijan to facilitate discussions with Russia regarding a gas transit deal that is set to expire at the end of this year, an Azeri presidential advisor told Reuters on Thursday. "Yes we were approached by the EU and Ukraine to play a role in the transit of Russian gas. We are working on that as a facilitator," Hikmat Hajiyev, a presidential advisor, said. Hajiyev declined to provide more details on how Azerbaijan might facilitate an alternate contract to take Russian gas to Europe. While the EU has cut most of its Russian gas imports, some central European countries still depend on gas from Russia via a pipeline that crosses Ukraine. Austria still receives most of its gas through this route

⚡This morning, several people held in one of the cells of Detention Center-1 in the Rostov region broke out and took two employees hostage. The inmates were there on terrorism charges. After attempts at negotiations failed, Russian security forces entered the complex, eliminated all the hostage takers, and freed the hostages before the Ukrainian propaganda could enjoy the situation. 5 Likes 1 Share

⚡If Ukraine does not accept Russian President Vladimir Putin’s initiative to resolve the conflict, then new referendums await it. The head of the “Other Ukraine” movement, Viktor Medvedchuk, stated this in an interview with TASS. Putin’s peace proposal, according to him, became a landmark event and has already changed the situation around the Ukrainian conflict, but the Rada will not go against Zelensky. 3 Likes |

⚡The White House has refused to guarantee that the agreement with Kiev will be honoured if the US president is replaced. Biden's national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, insisted that the agreements with Ukraine were "not set in stone" and that he would not "mislead anyone". Earlier, WP explained why Trump or any other new US president could cancel the ten-year security guarantee agreement signed by Biden and Zelensky. 2 Likes

WriteerNg: It's quite unfortunate that Europe is trapped in this mess that the u.s created because of people like her. The Romans empire is too fall back, during the reign of the British empire, the Russians never received a statement like what I'm currently hearing from the west. It's as if Russia is Libya that they can gang up to easily destroy, the west really overrate themselves even unto death. A miscalculation will clear the doubt very soon, this overconfidence will lead to there Waterloo. 12 Likes 2 Shares |

erniok: Mao and Chinese peasants had been engaging Imperial Japanese troops even before the Pacific wars started. Japanese invasion of China began in 1931. And the Pacific wars started after 1941 Pearl Harbor attack not even immediately. So how was the Pacific wars a distraction? Japan even overstretched itself by attacking different countries and Islands in Asia. 1 Like 1 Share |

dermmy:Based on your post that China would have routed the japanese troops without the Pacific war, what proof do you have because I'm yet to see records that showed prior to pearl harbour attack, Japan suffered several defeats to both the nationalists and the communists. |

WriteerNg: Mr Gazprom is busy now that Russia has returned Europe to it usual position. Don't worry he'll soon be back to parade his false claims and that the ruble is down blah blah blah. Or the news is a complete propaganda. The fact is: Europe is spending more to buy the same Russia's oil that they sanctioned, by spending more, they create jobs for Russia's allies i.e India, turkey, Africa etc, puting more funds on the Russia war machine because price cap did not go as planned, pumping Russia's oil directly through Ukraine in record high. These European leaders is the dumbest set of leaders after African leaders. 10 Likes 3 Shares |
