For Russia it was either act now or get destroyed later. It was life or death.

Imagine Ukraine in NATO. Crimea would have been invaded by now. No black sea access for Russia. That would mean Russia surrounded on all 3 sides.

Black Sea access is key.

This military intervention by Russia was the best decision they made since defending the motherland during operation Barbarossa.
Some school of thought like mine considered it too late, I would say 2015 or 2016 was the best year but as humans, they wasted too much time being diplomatic when there's obviously no diplomacy from their counterparts.
Even at the early phase of this campaign, they were void of realistic Intel of what they were dealing with, I tell you this: it was this year (2024) that Russia realize that this was an existential threat to them.

See why trump dont like them much, sanctions will the effective if biden not weak

Cry harder πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Sanctions will be effective against whom?

You can't sanction a country like Russia, sanction like some have said here, will only delay Russia's growth, that doesn't mean they can't grow.
But if they find a way to circumvent these sanctions, it's game over for that sanctioner, and that's what you're witnessing.

Yes they were late partially but not all that late remember they took Crimea thinking that Ukraine will react and fight but Obama nato avoided to fight

That why Russia calm down

Then Biden thought he was a super man and said he will take the rest of Ukraine into nato then putin began the defense project

So the game plan is working well for Russia still

Ukraine won't be a part of nato unless nato want to be destroyed like napoleonHitler were.

Ukraine joining NATO is like a log of wood passing through the eye of a needle.

Ukraine will not even survive this war let alone join NATO.
The only saving grace that Ukraine may have is if power changes hands in the oval office and that person say no to war and no to Ukraine joining NATO, everything will end overnight but those territory will never be given back.

Mao and Chinese peasants had been engaging Imperial Japanese troops even before the Pacific wars started. Japanese invasion of China began in 1931. And the Pacific wars started after 1941 Pearl Harbor attack not even immediately. So how was the Pacific wars a distraction? Japan even overstretched itself by attacking different countries and Islands in Asia.

listen dude, from your conversation I can bodly say you are one of the few people here who actually knows history.

They never wanted war all they wanted was to destroy USA navy carriers which were anchored at the USA navy base in pearl harbour, unfortunately dose air craft carriers were at sea at the time of the attack, and they would play a critical role on the defeat of the Japanese in the battle of midway

nobody can tell if the Chinese would have able to defeat the imperial Japanese empire without the USA coming to the pacific theatre of ww2, but judging from indices prior to the USA coming to the WAR, it is difficult to say the Chinese army would have been able to do so.

Bukum. Show evidence that the Chinese were winning against the Japanese.
Japan was literally in China capital, took over their major economic cities, set up stooge in Chinese political space. Majority of the Chinese resistance are made up of peasant no fully committed counter offensive.
They were just nuisance using hit and run tactics.
How come they couldn't displace the Japanese for 10 years?
Why did they have to wait for the pacific theater to open up to gain such ground against Japan?

UnConventional warfare will be the best to defeat. High casualties yes, but straight forward and equally achievable objectives both politically and militarily.
Russia is performing badly

The Chinese couldn't offer much resistance. They had the population but lack the coordination. Maybe in the future when millions of Chinese decide to unite and fairly engaga in and all out counteroffensive against the Japanese. But prior to the US entering the war China was only engaging in guerilla hit and run tactics, maybe they're hoping to wear out the Japanese.

Pearl Harbour shows the industrial might of the US. Even some aircraft carrier were damaged and some sunk but it only requires days to bring them back. Many ship were raised from the deep to later join the pacific conflicts.

The only reason they are able to is because some european politicians are actually pro russia

This is why trump does not like them much... See how trump sanctioned iran and north korea

In trump era sanctions came at a very fast rate also

Don't worry he'll soon be back to parade his false claims and that the ruble is down blah blah blah. grin grin
Or the news is a complete propaganda.

The fact is: Europe is spending more to buy the same Russia's oil that they sanctioned, by spending more, they create jobs for Russia's allies i.e India, turkey, Africa etc, puting more funds on the Russia war machine because price cap did not go as planned, pumping Russia's oil directly through Ukraine in record high.
These European leaders is the dumbest set of leaders after African leaders.

Bro sanctions on Russia are useless.

I'll tell you why.

Countries like Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan have all seen their trade turnover with the EU increase by over 300%. Both oil, electronics, gas, automobiles, grain, micro electronics.

Who do you think they're purchasing these goods for? Their small population? No

Parallel imports by Russia is the reason.

Do you now think these countries with their greedy leaders will abandon a once in a lifetime opportunity to get rich buying things from Russia and selling at double the price to EU and vice versa. For the sake of the US?

No one is that stupid. At least not in the aforementioned countries.
