As a teenager I grew up during Babangida’s regime, people were complaining, screaming and shouting that he was the next worst thing to the devil himself, then there came Abacha the shouts were even louder and everyone thought that's the end of the country, then AbdulaSalami Abubakar came in and followed by Obasanjo, the shouts, curses and abuses continued, nothing seems to be working under him, and then Mr sickler Umaru Musa YarAdua, still same complains and shouts, then there came Mr clueless Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, everything then scattered under him, same noises and shouting, and then Mr I-don’t-care Muhammadu Buhari, that one just spent time there, nothing works under him and according to many Nigerians, he set us back by decades and then now the most hated Nigerian sitting president I've ever known in my 4 decades of existence Mr Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the noises and downward dwindling continued. So as people why can't we just called ourselves and asked ourselves questions, whats really our problem as a people, because as for me i personally don't think these people are our real problem, probably something is wrong with us innately somewhere, because I believe even if Mr I-am-the-best-thing-created-ever, Mr-I’ve-got-no-sins, I-am-the-’messiah’ Peter Gregory Obi comes in too tomorrow or one day, obviously the circle would still continue to be the same, Nigerians lets check ourselves!!! 4 Likes |

Food insecurity is self-imposed! Occasioned by insecurity which the government has failed to checkmate. Crime happens everywhere in the world and that's a fact. But we don't have 150 bikes going on a rampage for kilometers and rendering every within reach helpless! |

The pix was from the original article. However, what is still beyond logic n understanding is how some still manage to defend this collosal failure even at their own demise is just incredible. Its actually scary because if we as a people are still hell bent to continue on this path,am afraid for my/our children. Please we need to wake-up and see who our true enemy is tobenuel: 1 Like |

Baba is a Tax Master. This works well in a fully developed economy like Lagos which has so many business, investments, ports etc.to tax. Nigeria has only a few states that their IGR can sustain them, hence, you need to make the business environment conducive, attractive and safe (security challenges) for Foreign Direct Investors which you can then tax appropriately. Until then, channel your energy on agriculture to attain food sufficiency first and then export to earn foreign exchange, thankfully we are hoping Dangote refinery can come through by August. We hope this can reduce pump price of petrol which has an effect on the retail price of goods. 2 Likes |

Worst economic crisis created by sinzu money + Tinubu + the west They know that Some parts of Africa is unique and the European text book economics is not meant for Africa. And yet emilokan went ahead to remove subsidy and floating the naira without a level comparative advantage except for oil to skew balance of trade in favour of the naira. I am not surprised that the IMF handed their boy balablu an economic policy that has further chased out multinationals like guiness more recently away from Nigeria due to harsh business climate. There is a deliberate attempt/plan to make Nigeria become like Venezuela but the recent redemption of some west African countries by big brother Russia is making them slow down. Selling our natural resources directly/officially through the govt account without Illegal mining will help naira greatly. Crude oil. Gold. Precious stones. Is enough. T |

nick50:It is not a Yoruba thing as votes from the South West were almost evenly divided. Apart from a few knuckleheads that support APC there for different reasons which is a normal thing in Democracy since you don't expect everyone to support one person, it was the North that made Tinubu president, largely. The ratio of votes he got from the North was more than what he got from the Southwest 2 Likes |

blowjohn:You are one of the problems we have around. Osimhen's reaction was not about Finidi doing a poor job qualifying Nigeria for the world cup, so why do you want people to leave Osimhen's disrespect to talk about how Finidi could not win matches. There is unanimous criticism of how Finidi and SE has performed poorly. Osimhen's stupid disrespectful video people condemned is a totally different matter but again it underscores the mentality of most Nigerians, it is always about sentiments...most times, sentimental considerations that really does not make meaning. You and others are supporting Osimhen in the nonsense he did not because he is right but the person he did it to cause you believe Finidi is not a good coach. If you want to talk about Finidi not being a good coach, face that one. Don't use it as a background to support Osimhen in the nonsense he did. Two things can be wrong at same time. The other poster you mentioned is even worse. He does not even have the moral right to condemn Nigerians or Tinubu if his line of thought is what it is. He is accusing certain people of leaving the main issues to vote Tinubu based on foolish considerations but surprisingly, he is doing same thing he is accusing others of in his analogy of Osimhen vs Finidi. Supporting the nonsense Osimhen did on the basis of Finidi's inability to win matches as a coach. Did Osimhen make video cause of SE not winning matches? Is it Osimhen that will score Finidi if he is doing a good job or not. That duty is left for NFF and and other Nigerians, not the players. Did Nigerians condemn Osimhen for saying Finidi is doing a poor job as a coach or for coming on air to insult his coach like a child, cursing, swearing, wishing death on people and even threatening violence on the person that was trying to calm him down.. Was Osimhen in the NFF meeting that Finidi was alleged to have said what he said. Did Osimhen call his coach to find out what was going on even hold press briefing or put out a statement to refute whatever he heard. It is unimaginable that some of you are bringing forward all kinds of theories to support what that arrogant disrespectful nonsense that Osimhen did. |

ReubenE: Do u understand that torrents of people went online to insult osimhen for not showing up? Do u know how painful that is? So he shud just keep quiet over something he probably won't benefit frm? |
Re: Nigeria Confronts Its Worst Economic Crisis In A Generation by ReubenE(m): 9:00am On Jun 17 |
blowjohn:You are not getting the point. Nobody said Osimhen should keep quiet in the face of true or false allegation. Osimhen is a professional, face of African football. It is wrong, totally wrong for anybody let alone a player to go on air to insult his coach, cursing, swearing, wishing death on people and even threatening violence on the person that was trying to calm him down. Finidi's inability to win matches is unrelated to Osimhen's arrogant disrespectful video. I don't understand why some of you are trying to tie them together. As far as I have read and heard, there is no Nigerian that has written it anywhere that Finidi is doing a good job to qualify Nigeria for the world cup. So trying to justify Osimhen's insolent behavior with Finidi not winning matches is preposterous. Osimhen does not have respect for Finidi. In my judgement, he considers Finidi not big enough to coach him. It was same way he disrespected Ikpeba that a pundit is not qualified to advise him. Two things can be wrong at same time. Whatever Finidi is accused of saying if true or not. Osimhen has proven one point with his behavior that indeed our players lack discipline and Osimhen is the number one of them. |
Re: Nigeria Confronts Its Worst Economic Crisis In A Generation by blowjohn(m): 9:15am On Jun 17 |
ReubenE: I agree with some of ur points and assessment. But everyone shud stop acting like osimhen doesn't give his all when it concerns Nigeria. And everyone shud also stop acting like he shudnt have responded. Perhaps he went to far, that, I can agree. But to keep quiet? No way. |

Yesterday I resigned all my domain names. Domain name is equal to the current minimum wage and unfortunately no time to put in the work/effort to get a ROI... In this economy; (almost daily) I am forced to make tough choices on were to allocate limited resources. Once upon a time, I use to have 12 with no stress on my finances. Tinubu/Buhari keeps reminding me of all the things I took for granted under Jonathan. 4 Likes |
