Imagine how most idiots are quick to say Op is lying about his personal experience, then try to defend the hypeman in the process, the brain matter of most has got to be checked

What is nairaland for again? Is it not to share opinions, personal experiences, and news? Such dumbness, and you all want to be taken seriously? Then cry victim when people react? No wonder most females left this section for you dumb men, if you lots on here are 99% of males in this generation, Nigeria as a country is in big trouble.

I was at a bar to relax on the island yesterday night . The hypeman(obviously an Igbo) got to the stage ,took the Mic and began to yarn dust .

The Igbos stay in Lekki ,Vi,Ajah and other posh areas while the Yorubas stay in Epe ,Olokonla, Sangotedo, Ikorodu etc .

The Igbos drive Benz, Lamborghini,Lexus while the Yorubas drive Korope,Molue.

The Igbos drink Hennessy,Azul while the Yorubas drink Shepe, Seaman .

After saying these rubbish ,he observed the guest countenance and said nobody should attack him after the show .

After a while ,he declared that the Igbos present are broke ,perhaps to retrace his steps and appeal to his Yoruba guests.

In my understanding, such statements are false, tribalistic and capable of leading to violence.

Such delicate matter should not be considered as joke because a lie repeated several times can be seen as truth ,it can set the course for violence in which the starter might not be able to contain it .

First to do no dey pain ,when people respond accordingly to such irresponsible statement, that's when they switch to victim mode and call others bigot and that they are after them .
truth hurts!!!

The hype man said nothing but the truth.

Igbos are agba ballers!!!

You are daft, just like the rest of them

How do you then ascertain if his personal experience is not real but fake? So we should believe nonentities like you on a faceless forum instead of Op that came here to tell us it is his own experience?

You lots aren't fit to hold logical political opinions or debates when physically called to attend one, because with what goes on in this section, it just shows the level of intellects on this space

I'm pretty sure the likes of you will argue and cuss each other's brains out if told millionaires and billionaires are on this forum, backward lots.

What do you hope to gain by heating up Nairaland with the careless speech of an unreasonable hypeman. You are not even sure If the hype man is Igbo or not.
We should avoid posting things that would further fuel tribal confrontations. I am neither Igbo nor Yoruba. We have the economy that is bitting hard on everyone to deal with. The hardship doesn't recognize tribe!

Using Tinubu as an example is wrong because he's based in Lagos but President office is in Abuja .

There are Yoruba everywhere because it's in human nature to hustle but they stay at home more . The context is that the commenter said Igbos don't struggle which I only mentioned one of Igbos' struggle .

What I gain is that people are more enlightened to the danger of their reckless statement and such should be avoided in future . Posting it on Nairaland might be the way I responded to such misguided statement, someone else might respond physically .

Economy reality is a different topic ,this is about inter ethnic relationship.

I say I know you people very well. Gaslight and lie a bit before your true colors pop out. I shouldn't have even bothered with you from the onset. Imagine coming to cry about an imaginary hypeman at 5:57am Chineke grin

Oga, I said you're a bloody liar. If the words of Mr hypeman is enough for you to threaten an entire ethnic group, what do you want that same ethnic group to have done when your darling Mc Oluomo threatened them during last year's elections ? Didn't a lady nearly lose her eye ? Weren't people attacked for being Igbo ? Weren't people killed for being Igbo ? Weren't people turned back and harrased from polling boots for looking Igbo ? Stop being a smello hypocrite. We're in a democracy and people have a right to reside in any part of the country they want, Last year your sister Kemi almost became UK prime minister and nobody shouted United kingdom ronu or go back to your village. People came out to vote on election day and you said they're tampering with your heritage. Which heritage ? Is APC Yoruba heritage or is APC bigger than Nigerian democracy ? Your response to chinkoalhaji is enough proof for me that you're a slimy snake and your original post has revealed your intentions. Continue blaming Igbos instead of telling your brother the truth about Nigeria's economy. Continue stoking embers of hatred against Igbos please

Don't use UK and kemi as an exampla ,
Use IGBOLAÑD and Kemi.

Vote a yoruba man in Anambra first!

It's in Ajah ,I won't mention the name .

You sbould not have responded to that mischief-maker.

He is trying to cast aspersions on your observation yet no truthful person can deny what you revealed is their reality as a delusional people.

They show same on Nairaland 24/7 with empty supremacist noise, based on nothing verifiable at all, that is a stark contrast to their reality.

Even Cubana Chief Priest recently revealed that extreme poverty and Igbo envy for each other is endemic and very toxic in the SE to leave wealthy Igbos fleeing to live in Lagos. Yet they continue to lie daily they are all driving Bentley and drinking Hennesy.

Let them keep fooling themselves thinking they are conning others.

Most of those hype men are not Igbos. They are just trying to cash out from the igbos in the bar.

I was in one of those places once that turn to a big fracas. Nah there the we discovered the guy is Yoruba while his babe is Delta.

You would have made significant impact if you took it up with the culprit in question. To be truthful ,you know calm never prececeeds any ethnic banthers here on Nairaland . If that were to be the case there will be a decline in tribal slurrs here. I have been on this space for a long time. Let's stop making threads that promote it!

I've been to some shows and watched a lot of comedy clips, where comedians make fun of the different tribes and mostly praise the Igbo's.

There was a comedy show around 2021 where the guy talking (Yoruba comedian) said exactly what you posted here and everybody just laughed at it.

So, its either the hypeman heard it from that particular show and decided to use it, or that you saw the clip and decided to show your displeasure here.

Be that as it may, you don't have to feel offended in such scenario bro... That's how they make their own living.
