It's not common to you because most Muslims don't announce there good deeds towards people and specifically, during Xmas period, Muslims gives out to the less privileged people that wishes to celebrate but no power to do so. Not by giving out to those that have enough to celebrate e.g Natasha Apoti did it for his political cronies which are far better, don't be surprised the ram may not get to the real beneficiary.
If truly you are born into Muslim family, you will understand that any good deeds with the intention of validation from men like you deserves no reward.

You are right but I don't see why a Christian should be saying salamualaikum to a Muslim, it dosen't make any sense since you both are not practicing the same faith.

It's only in Nigeria we carry religion in.the head amd a good reason we're where we are today, voting based on religous bigotry rather than Competence. salamualaikum simply means peace be unto you is Arab... are you aware there arans who are Christians? How do you expect them to greet each other? Go to Arab countries as a non Muslim..you'd be greeted same way.
