Being in the TV and movies section of NL for a long time, I've seen how peeps here will slap WOKE on anything they remotely don't like like g@y scenes, dominant females, LGtv characters etc. It's easier to just shout WOKE and get a mob of supporters on here. Just for either of these things.

So I'm not sorry for not being civil with them likes. Cos same dumbos here were shouting same WOKE a year or two ago when SANDMAN show released even tho these characters had the comic background and storyline to back up what was Adapted.

The Boys is the most hedonistic and disgusting show on tv and if anyone's offended by Frenchie being gay but not offended by the Deep's beastiality should be checked in the head. I'm just shocked about how the writers of the show wrote him in this season🤷🏽‍♂️ not everyone is apt enough to figure it out for 3 seasons. I knew Frenchie was not normal but I never had the inclination he was bi like most people on the internet but I didn't think much of it but the writing of his subplot is not good enough that's my whole point - it didn't make any sense that his bi-ness should be a major plot point when it wasn't even a minor one in other seasons🤷🏽‍♂️ you have to understand that

If that was the direction Kripke was going for, it should have been less subtle so it won't come out as a shock since he's a main character it's just like James Gunn makes Superman trans all of a sudden. It's not in the comics that Frenchi is bi.
The problem is not with him being bi, it's with the story, it just comes of as lazy storytelling - a guy loves another guy but having killed his parents- over-used kind of trope even used in the Boys. It's like they added it after the reviewing the script already

Also, your criticism is valid if you were actually right but you aren't as there have been bits and pieces that Abduleez1 have pointed out that led to that moment in his characterization, you not picking up on them isn't the writer's fault as they left multiple hints

Furthermore, using the comics as a metric to judge the show can't stand because damn, the comics was bad (at least to me). Did you know that soldier boy was literally homelander's sex slave in the comics? Yep, they aren't father and son but rather doing the devil's tango, if they added that layer to the show, it will be straight up incest and y'all will still complain

The Boys was already going downhill to me since S3. Even tho the action was pretty good and anticipated, that season was somewhat weak compared to the first 2 seasons.

We all know the reason the audience score is rotten. So let's not pretend the story is that bad.
