Check the voltage readings from the panels to be sure it isnโ€™t the charge controller thatโ€™s the culprit

Inverter reads over 130v, which is within range (total VOC is 149v).

Dam5reey:

There is Li mode on the Inverter, this has to do with Settings.

What type of batteries is it, and what are the charging Voltages? Lithium Bulk and Float must be the same.
Provide more information about the charge settings, Current and charging mode, etc.

Lithium.

Charging parameters are fine and have been working great since installation.

Don't think it's a battery issue at all tbf, since it wasn't supplying more power even when heavy load was turned on.

It suddenly started working fine again like an hour ago btw, not sure if maybe I had thick clouds overhead at that point or something. Still very weird, since this isn't the first time.

Can you explain further please,my friend currently has two batteries he bought second hand that are weak.

Can I DM?

Sorry, am not an engineer. I don't know how to explain this. Depending on how old your battery is , a partially weak tubular battery can be restored through a good charging system.

Yes the reviews are good, it has all the 7 to 8 basic protection but na to they off am and off all my breakers once weather change sure pass, I don learn lesson in hard way

Why not only switch off the breakers. Will the lightening still affect the inverter that is on even though the circuit breaker has been switched off and no supply flows through to the

All good.
Well I have never turned off my inveter even when it rains with lightning. It is too boring and dark without power during rain.

Was surprised as well. Perhaps it better not to err on the side of caution. One can never be too careful

What's the best LFP setting for powmr 60A cc? Or default would do just fine.

Secondly, you recommended use of Qasa AC/DC ceiling fans which works absolutely great. However I noticed it "back charges" the LFP batteries. I mean it also contributes to charging current of the LFP battery. Have you noticed this? Pls note that I am not the only one who observed this. Infact my attention was called to this by some of those I recommended the qasa ceiling fan to. I initially doubted it but I can now confirm this is true.

Is there anyone else who is experiencing this on here?
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by osayuwamwen(m): 5:59pm On Jun 18
I think dc breakers are suppose to serve as protection but there are some lightening that doesn't pass through the panel or breakers they go straight into the house and destroy any electrical appliances that is on, I have been using my inverter for the past 1year even during raining days I have never switch off except wen it goes off during low voltage or wen nepa bring light, I have only change the breaker btw the panel and controller once, I am talking from experience I might be wrong though

So research has it that MOV can be used to protect lightening strike...

And I have been wondering after I fixed this felicity surge protector device.

Buy them in this order: Inverter>Battery>Panels.

Reason: Inverter has a long shelf life, Batteries has a short shelf life, Keep them too long, they would sulphate or discharge beyond DOD, Panels will be exposed to breakage and other risks when you stock them.

Secondly, you can start using your Inverter & Battery when you grab the batteries and add Panels later.

Third is that the price fluctuations affects Inverters and Batteries more than Panels.

I hope this helps
Spent the past hr glossing over your posts and must commend you on the quality of response you put out.
Insightful and detailed always. weldone

Of course I would go for the HV SYSTEM. Saves me from spending much on bigger cables and breakers, etc.

I actually considered a 25kw HV inverter and 61Kw HV Battery Bank.
What discouraged me was that it would mean discarding everything I currently have as inverter and Battery.

Going to put my 8kw x2, 16kw inverters and 15kw x4 batteries for sell would not cut it to acquire the HV system. Especially when people will price them down because they are used. I didn't want all that drama of convincing people that the units are in perfect conditions.

swagifted:
if you were to choose between this your current setup and another setup made up of deye, but high voltage inverter (same rating in KW) and 61.44kwh of high voltage batteries, will you still settle for this one you have now?
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by jonescosmos(m): 7:41am On Jun 19
Do you have external CC or your inverter is hybrid?

HeavenlyBang:
My panels are acting up.

Twice now I've noticed them completely refusing to generate more than about 300w.

Sun is out, no evident shading, my friend using solar nearby is getting enough power from his array.

Jinko 3x 580w panels, ordered from Foauni. Right now they're only making about 280w. Battery isn't even charging, since the load I have on is taking in all of that.

Tried putting on a heavy appliance to see if it'll get the panels to send more power but nope, nothing.

During this kind of time, try to apply a load that requires more power and see if your draws that required power from your battery or from solar panels.

HeavenlyBang:

Hybrid.

I did, it just draws from battery and panel output doesn't rise.

It's bizzare, since after about an hour everything suddenly went back to normal.

But for energy loss sake... Would the extra 15kwh make up for the loss you would have had converting 48vdc to 220vac using the LV version as the less loss that would have happened with the HV system, cause this LV system is quite affordable compared to the HV system... And with humongous capacity, the price solarco told me for that HV battery i never recover.
