Stop being naive, a lot of their own CITIZENS are struggling to get jobs after university education. Some are under employed.

Stop being fed lies in faraway Nigeria.

Fact.

High paying jobs in Nigeria are meant for the heavily connected.
Even people with first-class in Nigeria struggle to get jobs.
Add 50 million of Nigeria's population to UK's. I want to check something.

A total of 20,000 pounds was spent in this venture and if you convert to naira we should be talking of about 40 million naira.
The figures are really mind-blowing considering the fact that the Nigerian currency is getting worse by the day.
And yet people shouts there's no money!

If you ask the same person to pay 2 million in unilag, he/she go carry placard..... Education is very expensive..

Mumus like the one above are part of the reasons why it will take special divine intervention for Nigeria to work.

They're always equating the value of goods, services, institutions etc of countries with best standards with those with no standards. The sad thing is that they always do it without considering the minimum standard of living in those countries they're comparing with and the level of opportunities there. It's very sad!

Well you may be right!!
I can also tell you that more than 50 percent of those who spent that 40m will not get it back in UK!
How many nig in UK get 40m naira for acct post-grad..Let me say 10 yrs after sch..You will be shock if I spill what I know...
Nevertheless, what am saying in earnest is that university education is hugely subsidize and we pay next to nothing! Hence, what we get is a reflection of what we are paying... most don't even pay up to 300k in 4 yrs..
I don't think a Nigerian worker can match a UK worker in earnings due to our poor currency.
Just 1,000 pounds money don full everywhere.
I have friends that graduated with a pass in Nigerian universities but went abroad and within a short-time now have properties in Nigeria.
People that were scholars and managed to get civil service jobs are still struggling to pay their rents in Nigeria.
Let's not deceive ourselves the difference is clear.

If after spending that type of money you don't get a job that pays at least $15,000 a month then it's a wasted venture as far as I'm concerned undecided

Which job in the UK pays 15k monthly? As in normal job, not athlete or entertainment.

I don't think it's about population because China have population and they are doing well.
The Nigerian institutions are weak and we can't achieve anything with weak institutions.

Escape route from the Nigerian hell.

that is where you are wrong. graduating from a UK university does not come with a guarantee of employment
even moreso if there is an economic downturn

unless you have the cash to start with doing undergrad in the uk expecting to get uk employment is a fools errand

It's quite cheap except this is just tuition.

I am not a fan of spending your naira savings on western education. Apply for scholarships...there is plenty out there especially if you are a woman.

Instead of spending your naira savings.....apply for jobs abroad.....or go with your spouse who is able to work...

There is no job guarantee after spending all your naira savings on a degree.

He/she must have worked over there to raise the bulk part of that money to pay his tuition, accommodation and feeding.
How many students can get a job to pay 2 million naira at Unilag in a year, pay for accommodation and feed themselves in Nigeria?

legally in most western nations you are limited in the work you can do as a student. and working outside of these limits is grounds for deportation

At 16 most People in UK are already working. Kist people worked to pay their schooling fees.
I don't think there is job lacking.

No, quality education is expensive. You can pay that 2 million, study hard, and still remain jobless 10 years after graduation. So, anyone that can afford to school abroad should do that. If you study hard, there's always a guarantee that you will gain far more.

you actually think that you can pay school fees on minimum wage earnings?
what do you think people age 16 are earning? do you think they are working in high paying jobs?

Number one, you choose to go and study in the UK and you are not forced to.
Number two, you were probably sponsored using the looted money from our common treasurer.
Number three, the conversion rate is not 1.900 as some of you cretins want it to be.
Let me stop here

The 16 years I meant means that there are even jobs available for 16 years old talkless of one schooling and working.
Most students worked and schooled on the UK.

Do you think getting jobs abroad is not connection too? Proven statistics show up to 50% of jobs are by referrals in the USA. I can find the source for you. Go and read about how people are submitting up to 700 applications even with their high skills before securing just one job. As a minority, its even worse for africans because securing a job is a huge favour for you than the employer. You have to work twice as hard to keep your place.

On the other hand, go check most of the senior level managers in Nigeria today. A majority of them only had BSc in a federal university at most. Any other high level degree like MBAs and the like were attained after they got to a hig position and were sponsored by their companies or when dem don chop belleful.

The bottom line is you need to be brilliant and smart to make it anywhere. If you're not smart enough to make a good living in Nigeria, you won't be able to live fantastically abroad as well. The only upside is living in an environment where the system works and processes are more straight forward.

that is the uk minimum wage. now tell me how much of that a child who is working for money to buy things for himself/herself can channel towards paying for university education

do you actually think children will consciously and on their own steam save their own college fund?

Lol....38m is actually nothing again...so, 62k minimum wage is what exactly? Honestly, the rate of poverty is extremely high. But the funny thing is that these poor people are giving birth like rabbits. Lol. Honestly, anyone from 30 years and above should carry his cross without Nigeria. If you wait for Nigeria, you are dead. Tap into the world economy, start earning dollars, and live at large in Naija.

Go for skills that can earn you dollars. Start today.

Less I forget, start gardening so you can live long. 70% of my posts are on this issue. Produce grass-fed meat, eggs, and milk. Eat organic veggies grown without fertilizer and pesticides. Eat more tubers and fewer grains. Engage in weight training and walk a lot. Leave your car at home at times and walk.

You will live happiness and joyfully regardless of what is happening in Nigeria if you work towards this. If you start today, you can achieve it all before the end of Tinubu's first tenure. You will just be smiling when everyone starts hustling during the next presidential election. Guess what? You will see the stupidity in humans running after food and money just for the period of the election....and then...you will even laugh more during his second term (if he gets another term) the way those who sold their votes go hungry. Trust me... it is a 4-year cycle that repeats itself. Free yourself today.

I hope those waiting for changes in Nigeria to read this and make use of your wisdom. I stopped expecting dividends of good governance a long time ago

bro are you out of your mind? Who will give a black man without experience a job of 15k pounds per month in the UK, even British citizens struggles to get that kind of lucrative jobs, again fir you to even come close to that amount it must be a job thats categorized as in-demand jobs in particularly in the medical sciences and IT where there are scarcity of professionals
