Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has ordered the audit of the accounts of the 23 Local Government Areas for the past three years.

Fubara gave the order to the Auditor General of the state on Wednesday while swearing in the Caretaker Committee Chairmen of the local councils at the Executive Council Chamber of the Government House in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

The governor said the audit of the accounts is intended to serve as a check for the incoming chairmen and make the local councils more accountable.

Fubara urged the caretaker chairmen to protect the interests of their people and demonstrate that the government was right in appointing them.

The governor also ordered a probe of the tenures of the outgoing local government chairmen.

At least now there is peace.

The fall out shows the loss of power and political structure by Wike. If not for the Abuja appointment, Wike might have become persona non grata. Fubara is the man of the moment. As is customary with Rivets state, when his tenure ends, he must equally vacate in peace, otherwise the people will make him vacate in pieces!

Let him crush Wikes structure completely.. I hope Tinubu is seeing Wike is not as strong as he claims to be. His structure is over! So if he wants to "put head" on Wikes behalf, he should think again. Is wike worth it??

Infact, a weaker Wike will serve Tinubus interest in 2027. Wikes plan is to use this same structure to fight Tinubu in 2027 or you think his plan is to remain minister forever?

Tinubu should know Wike is the type of man you dine with with a very long spoon. Don't EVER bring him to close to you. Forget the loyalty he demands from Fubara.. Wike is the epitome of disloyalty!

Yes because if had been convicted,indirectly wike has been convicted because fubara will not leave any stone unturned,he was acting on wile’s looting instructions.
