Leave dem mk dem dey find irrelevant things to spend on den dem go still inflate the budget. Imagine Senate increasing a budget after it came to them. Baba was saying he calculated the instance of dollars rise thus the decision to make the budget bigger. However when it's time to touch the common man government becomes incapable. The question is if Oga Dele is the president of Nigeria today, would he scrap presidential jets and fly commercial? Knowing how high life and faaji have eaten into his mentality he definitely wouldn’t! 1 Like 1 Share |

Realtord43: A 20-year-old airframe is not something to worry about. Do you know the ages of the aircraft you fly to all sorts of destinations all over the world (assuming you have flown)?. Nigeria's bureaucracy is reckless, wasteful, incompetent, and corrupt. This is another attempt to fleece the treasury, having no regard for the condition and economic wellbeing of the citizens. 1 Like |

As a president of a country. You should . It a symbol of the country. You don’t have to have a flashy Air Force 1 but we should have 2. One in use and other to back up the main one. You want your president to take British airways travel abroad . What a shame !!! Why lease … get good ones which can be passed down through successive governments. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Absolutely there's nothing wrong and I stand with Mr Peter Obi 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ % on this. Mr president doesn't practice what he preaches and it's so insensitive to want to purchase a presidential jet and at the same time asked Nigerians to tighten their belt. |
Re: Is Not Compulsory To Have Presidential Jets - Dele Momodu by Babangidapikin: 7:43pm On Jun 19 |
The Irony is that despite condemning Mr President for wanting to buy a new Private Jet, I was busy window shopping for a new G700 for Alhaji and it cost $75million ...but that's because Alhaji has delivered a refinery to us and I suspect his Jet might be more than ten years old. ..but truth is if a G700 cost $75million a Boeing Presidential jet and all it features might be going for $150million ..that won't be a problem just the timing is wrong better still they can spread the payment to $15million per year if it is $150million ..blocking illegal bunkering in the Niger Delta can easy pay for it or ensuring every land is cultivated in the North . |

lexy2014: Sabotage. Commercial airlines are not secured every Tom and dick and Harry or anyone who means harm can have access to the plane. Symbol of the country. With Nigeria status as a giant of African - it portrays a solid image. Also allow him to arrive at ease conduct official business in the air without restrictions . I don’t care who’s in Abuja , you need to have a president jet. The ship , I don’t care for . 2 Likes 1 Share |

In as much as I support prudence, I think it’s better to purchase a new presidential jet because it has more security features than his private jet. It’s like saying the president should abandon his bulletproof official cars for his private cars. It’s suicidal. 1 Like |

rickleye: So with the economic situation on ground you want the president to purchase a brand new aircraft which is nothing less than 200 million dollars? Let's say about 300 billion naira and labour union is asking for pay raise. Like seriously is there something wrong with you? 1 Like |

Re: Is Not Compulsory To Have Presidential Jets - Dele Momodu by AdesegunSanni89: 8:06pm On Jun 19 |
Its simple. Just put Peter Obi and Dele Momodu on the faulty Presidential jets and send them on a round trip to Dubai, London, Paris, New York and Toronto. If they return safely, then we don't need a new presidential jet. 1 Like |

“In these hard times, there's no compulsory reason for a country to own Presidential jets. In fact, it is an overindulgence. ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU owned private jets ever before he was declared President. He can demonstrate the SACRIFICE he preaches by downsizing and returning to them and requesting his retinue to go commercial when absolutely necessary. AIR PEACE has a fleet of Boeing 777 that can be hired for long haul flights and this will keep them in business. Trouble is our politicians are outlandishly flamboyant... There's nothing wrong with what PETER OBI said and suggested."The bolded speaks it all about politicians in Nigeria, insensitive lot. |

Good2go1:absolutely correct from someone who's in serious tune with what the masses are passing through at the moment. Even Thailand PM had to board commercial aircraft when his plane had issues. The Onanuga of a man, its like you're the current Lai Mohammed we've in this present regime. All I can say is that, may God help your conscience as an individual. 2 Likes |
