Most ppl here don't know that the first Nigerian that went to space was:

- an Igbo girl in SS2/Ss3

- around yr 1998-2000 { or 2000-2003; can't lay my finger on it squarely}
- she was not well-to-do; her dad was actually poor
- she went to ( I might be mistaken) Morèmi High school, Ile- Ìfẹ (or is there a school if science in Ile - Ìfẹ? She was living in Ìfẹ, Osun state that time)

- she won a scholarship that involved joining others at NASA USA ( I think Florida) , and they went to low orbital space.


Check the archives ( punch newspapers).
