Please apart from the Gcub application form, and the 2 essays, Do we have to write scholarship letter? I mean they said submit an individual scholarship application. Urgent response please. I am about to submit. Thanks alot.

Just follow the steps on the application portal.
That’s all.
Re: Study In Brazil: Admissions And Visa Procedures by paulavon: 10:28am On Jun 19
Go ahead with the application process, there is nothing like scholarship letter. Write the essay 1 and 2 very well, that is all what is required.

Who else noticed that GCUB has added new universities to the portal, I guess that was why they extended the application to July 1st.

Meaning more opportunities for everyone
Re: Study In Brazil: Admissions And Visa Procedures by kendraloops: 7:12pm On Jun 19
Please how are you able to see the list of all the universities in one place? Yes, I have downloaded Google translate but I find that I have to screenshot the pages and put it on the translator app.

This isn't quite effective for me as I'm unable to view everything at a glance. I'd have to screenshot course, view it, screenshot location, view it, do same for language and co.

If you have a more effective method of doing this, please share.
Thanks.

In searching for universities I used my phone on a Google chrome browser, because it's easy for me to highlight the course & the university I just copy and paste on Google.

Thou I submitted using my laptop.

It's important you have a jotter to write down the university of your choice & your course.

Read the call for application carefully. There is a link that contains the unis, the courses offered, the region they are, the state etc.

If you don't see the first time, read it again. Trust me, it's there.
Re: Study In Brazil: Admissions And Visa Procedures by kendraloops: 9:57pm On Jun 19
Yes, I know they're there.

I'm asking for the easiest way to translate it to English so I can view them at a glance, as opposed to the "screenshot and view" system I mentioned I was using.

You don't need to waste your time to copy and paste, if you use Google chrome, just use the translator i highlighted, also change the Galician language to Portuguese.

I appreciate this a lot. Thank you. Though I am referring to the PDF file itself that contains the list of schools and courses which one has to download separately.

Still same procedure?

Honestly, I would love this too. I have done GCUB but i still want to apply to other schools. Have you been able to find any school we can apply to?

I have not made my research concerning that yet.

I'm waiting till next month. Let the GCUB dust settles first.

Can one work part time while studying in Brazil?
Re: Study In Brazil: Admissions And Visa Procedures by kendraloops: 2:26pm On Jun 21
Yes. I watched some videos that affirmed that one could work while studying. Most of them said they took to teaching English online or other remote jobs. I don't know for on-site jobs though.

That’s good news.
I work remotely, I just hope that we get the gcub scholarship.

Hi. From what's on the website, you'll need to upload your transcript and university degree before you submit your application.

Re: Study In Brazil: Admissions And Visa Procedures by kendraloops: 4:31pm On Jul 01
I hope it's okay to apply to just 1 university.

Of all the courses available, only 1 ticked my fancy and that's what I applied to.

Also, I didn't repeat the same application 5 times, I mean, I just filled just 1 slot out of the 5 available slots.

I thought of filling all 5 slots with the same uni and same course but I don't know if that will count as spamming 🫣

Why not just pick two more? I've not even been able to submit successfully since yesterday. Looks like the traffic is huge right now

Nothing else aligns with what I'm interested in, they're so far apart. Soil science, dentistry, law etc. I'm more social sciences inclined.

As for you not being able to submit, I hope you get in before it closes. Maybe you can try using another network provider. MTN has been acting one kain today (I'm assuming you're using MTN).

I wish you (us) all the best.

The 5 options was meant to increase your chance of getting an admission.

Choosing just one is very much okay.
