Still expensive. If bua refinery and others still in the pipeline comes on stream pump prices of p.m.s should be around 300-350.

Is that not the story of A-looter Propaganda Conmen, APC since 2015?
From ThiefNuibu packaging Abacha's lootocratic comrade as the all-knowing and all-doing messiah to change our country and fight corruption while dealing with terrorists, to their 2019 next level of suffering to Emilokan turn of shege promax.
Promised change became change of promise, just as renewed hope has revealed itself to be renewed hopelessness of ebiNpawa enikanlomo.

499 naira per liter would be more soothing to the ears

Compared to the APC promise in 2015 for change, when petrol was N87, is that not a failure F9?

AKPOSbaba:
FORMER Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Prof. Tamunoemi David-West, said that Nigerians should expect sharp drop in petrol price from the current N87 to about N40 per litre, saying, “the president-elect, Gen. Mohammed Buhari, will reduce the fuel pump price to N40 per litre.”

In a telephone interview with Vanguard, the former minister argued that Nigeria produces millions of barrels of crude oil daily, and if properly harnessed will boost the performance of the industry.

His words: “I want to assure you that by the time he takes over, petrol will be dispensed at N40 per litre. This is possible and he has the credibility to make it work.

The major assignment of the president-elect when he is eventually inaugurated is to restore confidence to the industry.

He noted that the president-elect is familiar with the petroleum industry, adding that he is a straight forward person that has respect for democratic principles.

“As military head of state, he dealt with the Federal Executive Council with the tenets of democracy. Buhari will build new refineries to make petroleum products available for the masses. No responsible government will allow the masses to suffer.

I felt the same way too but considering IPMAN duty, they have a responsibility of discussing with Dangote just as they do with NNPCL on the price he's going to sell his fuel. However, this is Nigeria, I think they should have left Dangote to make his own decision on the price. Who knows, he might just decide to surprise Nigeria by selling 200 to 250 per litre. Also, I believe that whatever the price, International crude oil price will determine or rather influence Dangote price. It wouldn't be a fixed price I guess, so when global price goes down/ when it goes up.....will have a big influence. Remember, he's a private company and still indebted to conglomerates of banks. You know, despite all the accusations, the governments influence or supports for Dangote over ages, I still love this man. He's the true Nigeria. He never discriminate or behave like normal Nigerian. Previous governments that has been helping Dangote in terms of free duty/waivers.....I say thank you, at least he used the opportunity very well and maximized it too. He ain't like some thieves that would have used the opportunities to oppressed their fellow Nigerian. I know you will say but he oppressed us with Cements. But he still stepped down when called to order. Nigeria can be very frustrating to business men establishing companies inside Nigeria. Government will frustrate you to hell. Am talking from experienced. You need to have a brave heart, a hearts of million Lions to be able to cope just like Dangote....

ElevationD:
What’s the business of IPMAN with suggesting or determining the cost of petroleum products for Dangote?

With the yeye idea, if fir example, Dangote wanted to sell at 300, these greedy IPMAN people, would make it higher, so that they can benefit more. That’s the challenge with diesel price today.

How much was crude oil when Fashola was wailing for the reduction in petrol price? How much is it now?
What happened to Fashola's loud mouth since 2015

anthonykezy:
Oil slump: Bring down fuel price immediately, Fashola tells FG ON DECEMBER 7, 2014

Lagos—As the global oil prices slid further downward, Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, yesterday, asked the Federal Government to review downward the pump prices of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS,  from N97 per litre in the country in tandem with the slump in world oil price. President Jonathan and Gov Babatubde Fashola of Lagos The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC, had last Friday, on its website pegged the oil price at $66.27 per barrel.

Fashola who blasted FG for its reluctance to adjust the pump price of   PMS, made the remarks while addressing hundreds of youths at the  Lagos State and After School  Graduation Development Centre,  AGDC, IGNITE Employability Project 5, Ikeja. He lamented that Nigerians were not receiving fair treatment from the central government like others in oil producing nation.

Fashola said, “Now we should be enjoying cheap fuel if the price of oil has dropped globally. Even as we import the product, a major component has reduced in price and while this has reduced, the pump price of fuel in the country still remains the same. “Then something is wrong. If the price increases in the country when the price of oil goes up globally, then it should also reduce when the price of oil drops. “I understand that I am not an economist; they (Federal Government) are the economists. But I have some logic and common sense to ask critical questions. For instance, if one buy flour at N10 per kilogram, and the bread was sold at N1 per loaf. If the price of flour drops, the price of the bread should also change,” Fashola added.

The governor, therefore, urged President Goodluck Jonathan led administration to follow the footstep of other countries that have reduced the pump price of oil products for their citizens. Fashola noted that the oil sector of the country had not been improved to address challenges confronting the nation especially unemployment, saying “The economy is not doing well. Some of you (audience) are compelled to try to survive through whatever means.”

On how the oil sector would have addressed the unemployment challenges, he said. “If we are trying to build refinery with Dangote in Lekki Free Zone, LTZ, in Epe; and the construction alone would require 8, 000 workers. It means that they must get to work and back. So there is need for transportation service, there is need for food and other services during work and post construction. “So if we stop importing fuel, and start building refineries and doing other things right the economy will lift. If you build a gas grid for the country and rough estimate indicated that investing $5 billion, many businesses will began to get gas and some of the power installation can also convert to gas and others, there would be sudden positive effect on the country’s economy.”

this ain't crashing idiots. Dangote is a Private business entity, so expect no miracle from him. Unfortunately, your cronies will benefit from him because they have high stakes in his business. Isn't that why government is solidly behind it?

Not possible
These people are in for business, there is no way dangote will be selling fuel for 550 & bua will sell for 350, no way! If u think it is possible, check price of cement. They all sell at same range. These people have a click!

Re: IPMAN: Dangote Could Crash Fuel Price To ₦‎515 by wallrichy: 8:41am On Jun 20
No, No......it's a an economic gimmick by Dangote. It's profitable for Dangote at the long run. Importing fuel from other countries is a norm to most refineries even though the home country has crude in large quantity. For example, US is the largest producer of Crude oil and also has the largest reservoir of crude in the whole world but they import always. That's the way it goes in oil and gas. You know, crude oil ain't the same all over the world. We have different types of crude oil scatter all over the world. Research on the type of crude oils and you will save me the long write up.....in conclusion, it's economically profitable for Dangote to Import and ain't a shame to the stupid Federal government cos Dangote is a private liability company. The only shameful thing we can hold the government for is to privatize our refineries or kick them working and give Dangote a run for his money.

SoNature:
Before the gloating over how Dangote could crash the price of every petroleum product, the government should address the issue of Dangote importing crude oil from the UnIted States. It's a embarrassing that Nigeria is a major crude oil producing country but its major refinery imports from a faraway country.
