The use of indigenous languages in schools doesn't have to mean abolition of English language-based Schools.

As a matter of fact, in the early phase of Western Education in Nigeria down till 1960, indigenous languages were used to teach primary schools in the first few years of schooling.

We can retain WAEC as a standard and unified exam to give certificates but learning to instill knowledge should be thought in Native Languages and English in STATES that are willing to do so.

If Science Textbooks have been translated into indigenous languages since 1850s when the Bible was translated to Yoruba language, Scientific ways of reasoning would have been well entrenched in Nigeria.

When we got to Senior Secondary school, most people struggled with Sciences because the subjects were written in a Foreign language and the texts used concepts that were unfamiliar to the environments we grew up. Biology and Agricultural Sciences appeared simpler because most people could relate with what they are taking about in these subjects e.g Heart, Muscles, Monocotyledon or Ruminant Animals etc
