An experience male chef want to establish a small restaurant in Abuja but need an investor. About N1.5 million will be needed to rent shop, buy things and start operation.

He will be the one to cook and manage.
Expected daily sales will be above N100K
Profit sharing is 60% for the investor chef 40%

Investor should expect at least N200k monthly as return
He will look for a very lucrative location in Abuja.

The investor will pay for the shop by himself/herself

Will tell the investor what will need and where to get them

have over 8 years cooking experience so no issues at all.

Your funds is 100% safe because you not giving him a kobo, just set up and start making money

why would any investor (doing everything) share the profit with the chef?! any smart investor would simply hire a chef, put him on a monthly salary and keep 100% of the profit to himself!

the above you wrote makes NO DAMN SENSE!!!!

Such a business person will fail as that chef won't have the motivation of this chef. Stop being too fast to type without thinking. Stop remarketing people's hustle. If you are not investing, show some respect for yourself and walk away, Colombian angry

ARRANT NONSENSE!!!
a chef will DO HIS JOB, thats what they are paid for...and therefore any investor can hire a chef and tell them what they should cook... you come cook daily and nothing else, why do you think you deserve 40% of the profit?! why should an investor (doing everything) share the profit with you? you are no better than a simple employee...

Dude, God give people visions to pursue. Leave them alone to pursue their visions

then tell your god to also give you finances and/or use your own vision AND YOUR OWN MONEY to open restaurant... why do you think an investor will take ALL THE RISKS to share profits with you?! your vision is worth 5% at best...
you want 40% of the profits but if the restaurant goes bust, you will lose absolutely nothing. the only person who will lose 100% of their investment is the investor.

It makes no sense to you because you're not an investor. For me I usually prefer someone who's almost as committed, if not same level of commitment, as I am because that's the person that will be more interested in seeing the place grow. An employee, apart from the freedom to walk out of the business any time, will usually be more interested in his salary whether the business is doing well or not. But a partner with shares in the profit will be more interested in seeing the place grow, because that means more profit for him. And more profit for him is equal to more profit for me as well.

If not that I don't know him and he lives in a different state I'd have considered the offer. Plus I doubt his estimate of 1.5m can actually cover all he's planning to do

Not everyone might be interested...

Knowledgeable or capable of the everyday running of a restaurant or business generally.

I know someone who set up a bar one time and had someone in the "kitchen department" who was only responsible for submitting a certain agreed amount of money monthly.

Nothing strange in what the op has requested.

Some people might have other sources of cash inflow and just need extra sources of income without necessarily participating in the everyday workings and running of the business!

you see, your problem is that you believe that someone with a great idea, will equally be a great manager of any business, while being a cook nowhere near makes you a great business manager. only a very foolish investor would put their RESTAURANT investment in the hands of someone who solely has a great idea. any smart investor knows that it will take no less than 18months of running that restaurant before you may see any profits. having a great idea is the tip of the iceberg and it takes much more than "having an idea" to make a business successful (especially a restaurant). the OP only has cooking experience and should NOT be rewarded for anything else than his cooking skills, thus why he will be great as an employee and a complete failure running such business. i dont know what type of investor you are but you dont sound too bright with your money.

the reason why so many business in Nigeria fail is because of the above people who believe that having an idea is all it takes to be successful.

Nah so greediness dey kill una, someone who knows the market very well is offering you a 60% ROI and that isnt enough for someone like you but you'll rather dabble into a business you know nothing about for a 100percent promit. Try it and see how woeful you'll fail.

so you mean that a COOK is someone who automatically knows the market very well and knows how to run a restaurant successfully etc?!?! bwaaaaah you people make very little sense.if you believe that someone saying that they know where to open a restaurant, is worth 40% of such business then you sir dont know what you are talking about.
BTW this person is not offering anything but a pipe dream financed by an investor's 100% contribution... expecting 40% of the profit (aka GREED)

any smart person who has opened/run/owned a restaurant knows that it takes more than just a great idea to make a restaurant successful or profitable.

The first great idea is to know how to cook and the second great idea is to know where to site your restaurant to which the op has assured the potential investor of knowledgeably experience regarding the two, all an investor needs to do is to do a market survey so that he or she can have a good assessment of the whole investment plan. An investor wont investment based on words of mouth for sure and that is where business plan comes in. Of course a great idea from a great thinker could be back up by a financial, a good percentage could be agreed upon.
So many people are out there with the money without knowing where or what to invest on bro.

How is a business that has not generated a profit is able to guarantee 200K per month to the investor? How much is left to reinvest into the business?

true but let us not forget that running a successful restaurant is no child's play. just because mama jide did it, does not mean everyone can.

many people have great ideas, any smart person knows what to do and where to open a restaurant....the catch is in the DETAILS aka concept/menu/price/location/staff/restaurant setup. if you dont have these on lock down, anything you do is just a yeye gamble like any other.
just because someone knows how to cook, does NOT make them automatically successful if they open a restaurant.
the OP solely assured that he knows how to cook, and not that he knows how to run a business or what it takes to run a business.

remember, many people out there lose money because they have money but invest it in yeye ventures, backed by yeye ignorant people about that particular biz (aka put your wife to run a boutique/salon or your brother to run a restaurant)

here is a clue: the fact that the OP claims that A) the expected daily sale will be 100k per day OR that B) a monthly 200k return (how laughable) and C) that your funds are 100% safe, automatically makes me understand that he doesnt know what he is talking about.

the only way this business can work is if that cook works for FREE and run the biz FOR FREE and only expects to get his 40% share of the profit... if not then why would any investor need him? if he believes in the above then let him put his work where his mouth is and bring that 200k profit every month (after rent/food and providers/staff/taxes/licenses etc are paid for).

You understand the simple concept of a business.

You haven’t even started the business, you are already promising 200k profit monthly and when you start but no much sales as you have expected, what happens? You close the restaurant, and leave the investor hanging.

Starting a business in Nigeria these days need a lot of consideration, planning and replanning because things are expensive.

All the best!

Do a proper Investment Involvement Proposal showing the ROI annually or biannually...if impressive then I'll link you or the Chef to a VC or AI since what's needed as capital isn't even up to 2000 USDT.
