Is this democracy or dictatorship? ,

let the rule of law prevail not the rule of force.

The newly sworn chairmen should be allowed to do their work unhindered.
Chair gini?

Sincerely, it's a sad development...stripping the Governor the so called Chief security powers..and he can't even command State Commissioner of Police...na sad development
In a case where there's two warring groups and the governor is a party. E should be allowed to use the politics as he wishes? Hypocrisy is bad sad

You see why I am asking the question of what will the FG gain by closing the LG offices, because clearly Wike is not ready to back down, The governor has to have a plan B, he is in charge of the state.

Would the police be shutting down every new office he opens for the LG's?

When they are tired of staying in the old offices they would go by themsleves and might end up looking very stupid, they want a fight with Fubara where militants and police will begin to battle for the offices to declare maybe a state of emergency. .

That's why I said he should just open new offices and avoid that, this is like the person who took his friends to court for kicking him out of a whatsapp group and he won, they put him back in the group and all left the group for him and created a new one, the guy wanted to take them to court again grin

There are somethings people do you just ignore them and continue your life....

😆

Abeg give me link to this gist. grin cool

Even if he plans to conduct election, it will take months for campaign and setup and all that, would the state stay without LG chairmen for the period?

That is why the governor too should support them by going to rent new office spaces so that those who want to stay in the old ones can peacefully stay there, so there will not be fighting over the office space, when they are tired of occupying it without anything happening there, they will carry their legs and leave the place jeje...

Abi would they go and be fighting the governor in the new office spaces again, if they do then we now know who are the people causing trouble in the state after the governor left the place for you people and that also includes the police claiming to stop violence....

The police have no business in the new places too because there is no violence in the new place, in fact the police is supposed to arrest any person going to the new place to cause and that includes Wike and his men...

I don't really care where the loyalists come from, I'm not a Fubara supporter, my own is Wike should leave the state alone for Fubara, next time he will learn not to impose any candidate on the people, I want this to be a message to others who don't allow the people to vote their choices during elections, that is why I am also happy about Kaduna own...

The councillors are also Wike's loyalists and they can't follow the said caretaker committee to their bedroom for sitting.

It is their loss, if they like they can sit down at home, by the time people are doing what they are supposed to be doing then nobody will tell them when they start losing out on any benefit that is accrued to them because they refused to work....

Presently, about 20 states in Nigeria runs local government council through caretaker committee. Wike also did the same. Fubara isn't the first and Rivers is not the only state doing this

In the SE zone, we see what looks like Igbos killing Igbos. But never in history did the phenomenon exist.
Nigeria at war with its people because of natural resources.

Return to True and Fiscal federalism under zonal or regional government system; we see these rumblings in Nigeria end.

IGP speaking the mind of Wike. But the Governor has outsmarted them by directing all LGA Chairmen to relocate their offices temporarily to a new location within their Local Government Council. IGP and Wike can have the empty LGA Secretariats with no staff or access to funds to work with. Wike and FG should simply know that LGA are totally under the control of Governors and there is no way around it. No bank will allow any person not approved as Chairman by a Governor to have access to LG account. Its similar to how Ganduje and FG are wasting their time and energy in Kano. You cannot be Emir once the Governor does not want you even you like know the Chief Justice of Nigeria and all the Supreme Court Justices.
state can never win federal, after God na federal government
