Spain started playing high pressure game since last euros tiki take is dead and gone

Ask Croatia it’s either you Adapt or wait for the next tournament 😂

You guys keep shouting tiki taka is dead.

Please, playing style has to do with player selection.

When you have Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets in your side, you play in a pattern that suits them.

That is why Guardiola used that variant.

When we had David Silva and Gundogan at Manchester City, we kept the ball more.

So it has to do with the kind of players available.

Please I have been watching Enrique since Barca B time. I know lots about the changes.

Na back of tv you they watch

De la Fuente does not need any handout from you

You’re just salty that spain has phased out the much loved tiki taka that made them fail in 2018 and 22

Funny. Please, there is a reason why I have hammered the term heavy possession game. I don't expect every coach to play the same way.

Focus on the points.

I am not condemning Spain but pointing out things that needs improvement.

Today, Spain lost the ball repeatedly in deadly areas. Missed utilizing spaces in some counters and lost the ball in areas they would have caused havoc.

I am talking of how they can sort this out. Not everything is about attack.

It seems you forgot who spain was playing against

The way spain would play comfortably against Albania they won’t play with a level head against a team like Italy

I actually do not buy Rodri's statement here because he actually joined Man City to learn Pep Guardiola's tactics.

What I think happened is the coach getting a barrage of criticism for his tactical approach and them trying to be smart about.

Honestly, not impressed with De La Fuente's tactical approach. They move the ball well and transition well too. However, there is so much room in reorganizing the way they move the ball.

Either way, Fuente's is a sound Tactician but needs to improve fast.
Hope you've seen that pragmatism is the virtue not blind loyalty

This lost ball aspect is overstretched by you. I won't drop my own 2cents but the female commentator's.

She said Spain have set up in such a way that the moment they lose the ball deep in their opponents half, they're recovering it almost immediately.

She noticed that repeatedly and said it more than once. But you're only seeing that and adding "improvement" talks to it asif every football team doesn't ever lose the ball, no matter how talented they're. Haba. Even robots are not perfect. undecided

So what are you arguing.

Spain had serious problems today and I always believe there are tactical solutions that can be made to improve, no matte the side being faced.

And I don't expect every team and side to play the same way. I wonder where you guys got that idea.

Finito.

Which one is pragmatism again. Spain was still the more possessive side and built up better. You guys want a coach sitting deep which is a sign of weakness.

You don't need a commentator to tell you that Spain fell back in space when they lost the ball. The problem is that they were vulnerable and in another instance, they can lose playing with such gaps.

To grow. Not to be world cup champions in the first game. I wonder why simple points takes years to explain.

If we are to grow, we need to learn how to play possessively. It is a process. I did not say we should turn prime Barcelona overnight.

It starts from the coach and building the system. Scouting vigorously etc. If we walk that path, we will get better as timw goes on. Than expecting changes by sitting deep in our own half.

Don’t preach to spain about lapses they’re 2/2

Go talk to England about playing from deep

They’ surely need your advice more than successful spain

The owners have found a new solid formula. But only you want us to sacrifice every other philosophy out there for the fading style? You sure don't love Super Eagles 😂😂😂😂

2018 and 2022 and you want us to embody and carry on a failed system

Give up bro the rest of the world has caught up, nobody will look you while you’re holding possession they’ll press you and pounce on your errors

Why didn't Spain scout for players like Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets and have now adapted play to suit the kind of players they have?

Na wa.
Guardiola and Areta play heavy possession game. When Arsenal meets Manchester City most times, they sit back and allow Manchester City dominate possession. Does that mean Areta is not a heavy possessive coach?

Croatia dominating possession means the Croatian coach set them up better. It does not mean Spain no more plays heavy possession football.

Finito.

2014 had all the possession lost to chile and Netherlands by a wide margin

2018 lost to Russia while maintaining all possession

2022 lost to Morocco all possession no results

2023 they found the winning formula in high pressing and fast counter- same method Germany is playing

Now you want us to play tiki taka when our boys can barely play 3 touch wow

That was my first point. Not too thrilled with Fuente's approach because I felt with more choice selection, he can have a more controlling side. That is why I am interested to see Mikel Merino start and play the next game.

😂

Winning two matches is not winning formula. It is about dominating for years. I hope to see Fuente improve along the way but his midfield is not yet sharp and they know it.

I am more interested in curving a long term winning formula. That is why I was studying and supporting Guardiola when he was coaching Barcelona B.

Would you still stick to tiki taka when your last major trophy 🏆 was euro 2012

And you’ve been humiliated for almost 14 years straight and you’ll stick to your old guns and not adapt to the times

You’ll end up as another finidi if you’re a coach just barely 3 match them don sack you
