o know you passionately want an end to this menace like everyone else, but the truth is this; its not as simple as you are saying that 15 policemen could have done a good job. It's not even a police thing anymore. Its about the lives of the victims held hostage. They're humans remember. They have a certain level of intellect that will not allow themselves exposed to your attack while coming for the ransom.

The best way put of this thing is better socio economic welfare of people to naturally discourage them from crime before it becomes a disaster of this order. Last 2 weeks a guy who was selling indomie escaped from kidnappers on his way from the north to Kogi to see the parent of his fiancée. Unfortunately, his brother travelling with him was kidnapped. He struggled to get 8m to go and release his brother, only for the bandit to kill him after delivering the ransom. Though the brother was released.

On another day in Enugu, a guy and his brother were attacked just because their bike hit a cow that jumped into their pathway unfortunately, only one of the brother survived the attack.

Citizens are dying daily from insecurities but all that is on the lips of the average southerner is religious and ethnicity.

Shame on us all.

Many of the Hausa and Fulani supported Boko Haram, bandits, and other terror groups, thinking they were fighting for a cause and that the government would negotiate with them and give them money. However, when the government ignored them, they turned on their own people because they couldn't return to their former lives, where they struggled to survive.

I am actually more concerned with that fact that Govt is not doing enough to curb their activities, rather than the name tag on those criminals.
