2. Block account or work/job offer..

That's all.

don't know about this...but i find it hard to believe if I want to book an appointment now the next available date I would be given is next year, that's absurd
. Please what visa category are we booking the appointment because looking at the appointment site , no opportunity card, they have even taken away the jobseeker. So is it work visa one is selecting or others.

Do you have all the documents to prove you meet all the requirements? If yes, book an appointment at the embassy.

Simple

What are the requirements

Yes no opportunity card for now and no way to apply from Nigeria for now. Maybe they will update it before the end of the month. I was initially checking under the other option for the work permit, au pair etc category but i'm not sure if thats the way to go. We just have to wait and see

Omo I just submitted my application this evening and I got a mail saying that the waiting period is more than one year o.
But if one can wait for a 1 year plus and get the visa, I believe it is worth it as you will be eligible to start working immediately and it is better than migrating via study route.
I have also submitted my degree certificate for Individual Certificate Evaluation by ZAB and paid 208 euros.
It’s well o

Hi everyone, I am new here. This is my first post. Please pardon any mistakes. Interest in the Germany Opportunity Card exists for me.

I have worked as a data and business analyst for five years, and I hold a first degree in economics as well as a diploma in economics and statistics.

I have also written IELTS with Band score 6.

Is there any other requirement? I will appreciate it if someone can put me through

You have to apply for a statement of comparability. This is an individual certificate Evaluation by the German Office for Foreign Education. This is a way to ascertain if your degree certificate is comparable with its equivalent in Germany. It takes 3 months to come out (whether successful or not). The three months start counting after you have paid for it. The fee is 208 euros. You need your Passport, WAEC (or its equivalent, I used WAEC sha), Degree certificate, and transcript (student copy). With this evaluation, you more or less qualify for the opportunity card and wouldn't necessarily need the point system although you need to show that you can sustain yourself in Germany. The link to start the application is on the site I sent you earlier. Good luck.

What about the English or German proficiency? Won't I need to submit that since that is part of the requirements

Please, I submitted my application today and from my research it appears one can use Anabin (https://anabin.kmk.org/anabin.html) to verify and confirm if their institution is recognized and degree is equivalent to that of Germany. I also checked this site (https://hallogermany.com/blog/anabin-guide-academic-degrees) when doing my research.
