The guy don already dey wait for ETH to fumble grin grin grin

E say when his cup is full grin grin grin
Dey wait ke? That FA cup win saved his ass. He already fumbled. That's why Sir J tried to get someone else for the job and when they couldn't, they came back him

Don’t mind Leyqute. He knows ETH has the power and can do whatever he likes (including instilling team discipline). I guess he did it to the great Ronaldo, without the club’s backing, reason Ronaldo is still here infecting the other players with Pogba’s virus.
Ronaldo messed up, he was kicked out. Sancho did his own, he was kicked out. But but the manager wasn't backed, or he does not have the power to put any player in their place. I don't understand what else they need to happen to show that the manager is fully in control. These things happen in most other clubs too, so its not a Manchester United problem. Arteta sold some top players when they misbehaved or didn't agree with him. Pep pushed Cancelo out even when he was a top performer for the club because of some internal issues, not for footballing reasons. ETH didn't experience what others have not experienced before

INEOS came in with a clean slate and interviewed candidates for their new project, ETH included. He just had insider privilege is all. At the end of the day, non of the other candidates impressed them enough to warrant replacing ETH. They just rehired ETH.

I agree.

It just says a lot when you have a manager that has been to 3 finals and won two in two years, and you still needed to interview others to replace him

That's what new administrations do. They assess every position, it's not an indictment on ETH, it's just how it is. It also says a lot that the new administration rehired him after a thorough review process which naturally didn't favour him.

Are you sure it's not an indictment on Eth?

Let's put it this way. Do you think if a new management takes over Man City, Madrid or Liverpool (under Klopp), their respective managers would go through the thorough review Eth went?

You see the review isn't just about the manager as it is more about the way everything is run at the club. And to answer your question, every new Admin has goals and objectives and they'll assess whoever the current manager is to know they're all on the same page be it Guardiola or Klopp. Just that the situation at United is bad compared to the clubs you mentioned and the coach will always be under the spotlight.

If city have new owners, would they start interviewing coaches up and down or would they immediately start following up on contract extension for Pep?

Its definitely an indictment on ETH. If he finished 2nd you think they would be interviewing others? The athletic article from last week said they only decided to interview others from the Crystal palace result. Before than they were going to move forward with ETH without considering options.

Any new management that comes usually sticks with a coach they believe he's doing well. They might review other sections and admins and think about improvements but the coach won't be touched

For them to include Eth in the review and even go as far as granting interview to other coaches is an indictment on him.

Well said. What you failed to mention is that this new administration has worked with ETH for about six months.

Now think of it this way. The organization where you work gets a new management. They work with you for six months, then start to head hunt potential replacements. They are not successful, so they come back to you. Does that not tell you there is something they are looking for and will dump you as soon as what they are looking for is available? Should that not make you think about your position in that organization?

Just dey play
