A Nigerian business woman, Mrs Queen Dugwu Okongwu was erroneously paid 18 million Naira into her Account, Being an outstanding and good Nigeria that she is, she returned the money to where it came from with Immediate effect.

Mrs Queen Dugwu Okongwu act has shown that there are still few good Nigerians that are Morally upright and have Integrity. Her display of integrity is worthy of applaud, celebration and emulation. This is a also a lesson to other Nigerians not to take whatever that does not belong to them. A good name is better than silver and gold.

Something happened yesterday

Something I will never forget in my life till I d1e.😭

So a real estate company I got a landed property with and also invested some money with made a mistake and overpaid me.

The Money I invested with them had matured and I got paid, yesterday out of no where I got alert of 18million, I checked it, it was the same company. How?? I knew it was obviously a mistake.

I chatted their accountant and alerted her, she screamed and called me immediately 😃, she was almost crying… she was the one that made that mistake (this is someone that rarely replies chats, I was surprised she was less busy to call, lol) she pleaded that her job was at stake, the anxiety in her voice…, I told her there was no need for the plea, I contacted you myself , you were not the ones that chatted me, i saw the money and the source and knew it wasn’t mine, reason I chatted you😃.

We ended the call n continued on WhatsApp, I asked her to send their company’s account details, she did and I made the payment, I told her my daily limit is 10million, so I credited them 10m yesterday and sent the balance of 8million now.

I wrote this just to tell you that you do not need to mix your wealth with an ill gotten money to be richer. We got to where we are today by pure legit hustle.

All the money I’ve seen in my life God gave them to me without me soiling my hands, he’s the one that blesses, he blesses and adds peace of mind to it. God blesses me effortlessly.

I have never taken what is not mine my entire life, I won’t start today.

This is not Nigeria movie darling, not everyone is greedy.

This is a legacy I will pass to my children.

Integrity still pays.

18 million successfully transferred✅

Very good of her, but the truth is that she would have been traced and easily arrested, like many others in the past. We should normalize things like this in Nigeria, rather than seeing it as a never-before-done thing that deserves presidential and international awards.

check the time frame between when the supposed accountant drop the account details to when the receipt of the transfer is sent.

Someone mistakenly paid £50 into my PayPal account and I paid it back

I must be a "few good Nigerian", though I'd expect that to be the right and proper thing for anyone to do.

She might have done this out of genuine sincerity and honesty and she therefore deserves to be commended. But truth is that, she couldn't have walked away with it if she had attempted to do otherwise.

She could swiftly process her going out of the country(her family inclusive)

Break ties with family and friends and start an entirely new life

But
.
The good part of her prevailed 💕

The person who sent money did not even know, she was the one that even alerted the person herself.

So if you want to make transfer on your own phone, it takes you hours, right?

COMRADES, this woman is a true Nigerian like me, so many Nairalanders would wish it was their account that the mistaken transfer happened

Our leaders are morally bankrupt, but as responsible citizens we owe God duty to be good

If someone sent money to you wrongly, you do not ask the person to send you account details to send back the money. Go to your bank and do a reversal.
