@dadella thanks for your response

How did u answer this question?
Give details of the main purpose of your visit and anything else you plan to do on your trip.
2) did u add ur sponsor passport data page to the application?
1. Purpose of visit was to spend time with my boyfriend, meet his family and friends because he has been to Nigeria to visit mine and he wanted me to meet his. I just said I planned to visit Manchester, Newcastle because his family lives there. I didn't write much on what I planned to do.
2. Yes, I added his passport data page.

Hello house,

I applied for standard visitor's visa for my mother in law 10th of June 2024.

TLS sent collection email 20th of June 2024 and that DHL will deliver it.

I have been waiting for decision email since 20th of June.

Please can someone confirm if UKVI sends successful decision email for visitors visa? How long before they send it?

Or can I only confirm this when she gets the passport?

Or do they only send rejection email and not successful email?

I beg, fear dey catch me.

Thank you. I have decided not to even mention it. I am currently working in a government hospital subsidiary too. So I will use my salary account there to show I have a job as well as the introduction letter and letter of leave. The NYSC salary and the government facility salary can't sponsor the trip but they can prove home ties. So i'll just indicate both as my salary. I have a sponsor (mother) and their account is very healthy so I have left it at that.

You are sorted then

Hello, please I'm hearing some things about how NYSC members are not allowed to travel to the UK during their service year. Please do you know anyone who is a Corp member who this UK visitor's visa has worked for?

You made a very good point, but I have not heard of such. What's with the UK with NYSC? Isn't NYSC a form of employment like other employed people who get their visiting visa approved in active civil service after showing accurate proof of sabbatical breaks or need to visit on holidays? Do they really want to troubleshoot how that works in the country? What, I presume, should be important is showing ties to return to the country, and NYSC PPA letters show that. Whatever leave time or absence arrangement from NYSC is between the corp member and LGI or where the corp member works. People even get approved student visas during NYSC and abandon the whole program. Plus, these corp members have flexibility with work schedules, and most only report occasionally while doing biometrics monthly. Unfortunately, I do not know of any NYSC member either denied on the service year basis or approved, so if you have any concrete information regarding this, kindly share it. Thanks.

Thank you so much for this. I don't have concrete evidence really and it's basically word of mouth and 1 post I saw on Naira land here posted in 2012/13 or so. But I left it out anyway. And just attached letter of leave and introduction from my ppa

Just saw your post. I'm travelling too in September for the exam and I had to submit a letter to my LGI about 2 days ago. Letter was addressed to the DG. Might take some time to get a reply but I'll use the response letter as proof of ties. If I don't get a reply in a month, I'll try without the approval letter.

Hello House,
What’s the checklist for a TLS biometrics if you upload everything upfront? I don’t want to forget anything. It’s a premium TLS appointment

Question please, by the time my visa decision is out, I won't be in Abuja where I did biometrics to receive my passport, would the email they sent to me show the decision made?

If the only email they send to you is a notification to go pick up your passport without getting a rejection email, just put on your dancing shoes and head to Tls to collect your vignette stamped passport.

Yeah, most people I know don't even mention it at all. I've got a good travel history to a couple of Western countries as a teen and adult so that should help. Maybe you could do it that way too.
If you're traveling in Sept, won't it be late by time the response of the DG letter comes out?

Can anybody put me through,I think reading from the first page won't give me enough information because of the ever changing rules.

I would want to know if there is a way to relocate to Ireland or Scotland without the education route,I have the finance and everything needed but don't want to school,we are comfortable and would like to set up a business there in the future.

How do I go about it? Just me and my two kids.

Thanks and I appreciate.

Just take along colored copy of your passport data page, checklist and tls appointment letter.. You're good to go with those three things..

Also yes no need of passport photograph.

Congratulations in advanced to your mother inlaw if it just the collection email and no long narrative decision on it.. Like someone has rightly said, just put on your dancing shoes because you'll be having your mother inlaw in the uk soon...

1. I am filling a long-term visit visa. On the application it asked if there has been visa grant in the past 10 years which was yes. It asked for day of issue but when I looked through the application summary, it’s showing as date of application. So I want to ask if I should input the date the application was made or when it was issued.

2. It asked for the duration of the last visit. During the last application it was 2 weeks that was inputted but used 6 weeks. So should I input 2 weeks or the number of weeks that was originally used?

Thank you for your responses in advance.

Not compulsory. I haven't submitted tax clearance for a very long time. Your payslips will prove that you pay tax.

Thank you ma.

Please I also have another question to ask you. What are the things to include in an introduction letter. Since it’s me and my mom that will be going for my brother’s graduation, should we both include in our introduction letters that we are going together or we don’t have to? And also about the lump sum in our accounts, should we mention that also in our introduction letter on how we got the money?

Please anyone with experience can answer also. Thank you all.

Hi everyone, my sister just completed her undergrad in the UK and is set to graduate in July. She has been granted admission into a Master's programme at a uni in London. She has already paid her deposit and is waiting for her CAS to be issued (The university is yet to release her degree and transcripts).

Ideally, she would have preferred to apply for the new visa from within the UK but she has to attend a family function back home after graduation. Can she apply from her home (Kenya)? And will she have to do a TB test considering she has been in the UK all this time? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
