We Yoruba don't like violence if you call us names we agree we are peaceful and loving people. You can't compare our region to others that's why people preferred to stay in south west than other places. Thanks

Attached image was made in 1993, that is at the time of June 12 annulment. Till date, no Yoruba statesman, politician, journalist, etc has ever tackled IBB on it now that he is alive. You prefer to wait until after his demise to debunk it.

Google will help with all these questions.
Do you know the Armed Forces Ruling Council (AFRC)?
Do you know Armed Forces Consultative Assembly?
Ask anyone who was in their meetings. Some are still alive.

Strictly speaking, that's not true. The Yorubas are peaceful but intelligent. Therefore we choose our battle but we don't avoid War or confrontation when threats are existentialist and nothing else will suffice.

History shows the Yorubas produced many brave and conquering warriors in the past who went into battle valiantly and won most.

Do you know, for example, that Yorubas in ancient Ife Kingdom had mastered metallurgy far ahead of others to the extent they were able to forge sophisticated weapons in metal while others still carried crude wooden clubs around like the ancestors of the OP who is clearly seeking to bait Yorubas?

To show you Yorubas never shy away from a battle, ask the OP where the governors of his region were when Yoruba Governors bravely united to take on Buhari, below, in 2021.

SW Governors were fed up of wanton Fulani herdsmen killing and anarchic behaviour throughout the SW and wanted the right for Yorubas to be able to defend themsleves that 'one Nigeria' was denying. They acted bravely and alone while all others hid.

I remember that period of heightened Fulani herdsmen menace well to note only Yoruba leaders stood to be counted from the South and middlebelt in Nigeria.

They led the way for other Nigerians daring Buhari and Malami by using their State houses of assembly to form Amotekun. They banned open grazing across the SW by legislative fiat.

Ask the OP where his leaders were when Nigeria, especially the South, faced existentialist challenges and only the Yorubas stood up to act. His "brave" leaders were hiding under their beds pissing their pants and too scared to square up to the North.

If only some Nigerians have the capacity to shun tribalism and reflect/introspect sincerely, they will realize they are bigger examples of what they call others.

How do you know what I believe?

What is the connection between the two statements

So if I believe John eats Yam I must believe he eats beans?

What is the connection
You sound like an illiterate

Did what you are saying happen?

Yes or No.?

If yes where is the evidence

But if they bring war to. Yoruba history shows they defend themselves

Clearly you have a problem with English comprehension
I asked a question
It is simple English
What has living with him got to do with public life

This was a public statement
So once again

How many other jokes did Abacha crack in public or is this the only one?

Are we to believe the only time he evercracked a joke in public was this one? Is that the message?

Funny enough, same IBB was forced to "step aside" by the Yorubas using June 12 and he even handed over to a Yorubaman.

Your attempt at trolling is shamefully poor

Correct and those were the points I made with my previous post here. Even in the modern era of Nigerian politics post 1999, which ethnic group has been bravest aside Yorubas time and time again?

While the ethnic group of the coward who started this thread hid, it was Yorubas that took to the Street to demand 'born-to-rule' elements in the North allow Jonathan be sworn in as substantive President.

This was when Yar Adua was dying abroad and the Turai cabal were clinging on to power desperately aided by the unscrupulous Aondoakaa who was AGF then.

Others hid and said/did nothing while the world watched the embarrassing drama playing out because most southerners were too scared of the North to stand up for what is crucial and needed. Yet Yorubas did.

Again, when Fulani-driven insecurity threatened to overwhelm the South under Buhari's 'siddon look' style of Governance, it was the SW alone that stood up to the North with a raft of measures initiated to assist greater protection of lives and property in the South.

Akeredolu, of blessed memory, even openly told his Northern compatriot Governors he would buy AK47 for Amotekun since same is in the possession of virtually all Fulani herdsmen.

Where were the Governors and leaders of the region OP is from during those very trying period for Nigeria?

Intelligent people, who work with reality always, know who the cowards are, regardless of what IBB said or did not say, to understand it is never Yoruba and never has been.

Rather it is those always seeking to gaslight the Yorubas who are guilty of the most stunning display of cowardice in Nigeria's post 1999 history.
