This is the Military rule some idiots want in Nigeria.

No matter how BAD you think our useless Politicians are, our USELESS Military is a 100 times.worse.

This new law will JAIL people for using social media to SHARE videos of the soldiers torturing people because it can "disturb public order".

These people are just lucky that ECOWAS is filled with a bunch of corrupt and SPINELESS cowards. Otherwise, this Tchiani guy would have been sent on a journey pf no return.

Currently, over 90 percent of Nigerians will choose Abacha 100 times over Tinubu.

Abeg Arise, please post Rufai Oseni to Niamey as your correspondent over there. I want him to see something.

See the military that Obidients decided to put their support behind. See how rule of law ls being shamelessly trampled upon.

Obidients should use this as a lesson to be careful what they wish for.

Ha ha ha

Nigerian youths - you people wanted military to take over abi.

You say Nigeria is the worst place for human rights in the world.

Ask Niger people how far with human rights.

The military junta in Mali has banned porn.

Records show that Nigerians are some of the biggest users of porn in the world. How are you going to cope if your imaginary military coupists take over and ban porn here too.

They'll also ban things like yahoo or sagging your trouser. If you protest, they'll lock you up and throw the key away. And there'll be no human rights lawyer to save you. Your hero Mr Falana that lives and sleeps on Arise TV to cho cho cho over matters he knows nothing about will disappear to Republic of Benin on his way to claiming asylum in Belgium.

Youths, do you still want a coup? Guess not.

I am not a President Tinubu supporter but I guess you have just found out that term and MUST use it as much as possible.

To clarify, President Tinubu should not have been on the ballot, neither should Peter Obi or Atiku as all three are part of the evil political class, post Abdulsalami, that have screwed the electorate over repeatedly for their own ends.

Nutin do you sha.

Nigeria law is worse. Don't pretend like you are not aware of journalists who were imprisoned and activists who were jailed during buhari era using the same law

If this is in reference to Bubu military era and Decree 4, then I agree with you. I don't know if he made any Anti-journalist laws as a civilian president, if he did, that was wrong as well.

Nothing you have said has contradicted my distaste for Military regimes and their propensity to surpress free, open and truthful journalism. Neither has it contradicted Obidients hypocrisy at supporting mandate thieves abroad but not (allegedly) at home.

Defamatory reports set to unjustly attack and condemn certain or selected persons as well as inciteful propaganda should be punishable by heavy jail term everywhere in the world but report of mismanagement, illegality, impersonification, dictatorship, embezzlement, and/or non-inciteful opposition should be liberal and allowed.

Is there really any difference with what is happening in Nigeria ?

Do you know how many journalists and social media users have been locked up since Tinubu entered alone? it might even be more than what this military junta has done...

The bad part in Nigeria's case is that even civilians who have money lock up people because they can influence illegality with the law which is not the same over there, only the military is most likely wielding such power.

I witnessed 3 military regimes in Nigeria before democracy came, you guys just come out and be talking nonsense, I'm not supporting the military regime, but based on what I witnessed during the military regime with the way they hyped having a civilian government and benefits in human rights, I can tell you with all confidence that the difference is almost the same thing, up till date soldiers are brutalizing civilians and so on ...

What exactly is the difference ? even the president here still oppresses people.... you guys just gulp everything they tell you guy because they want to keep enjoying the fake democracy they claim to offer....

You don't know what you are talking about. Which of the military regimes did you witness and could anybody dare criticize the head of state on TV or radio wothout being arrested? Do you think the likes of rufai of arise tv will be free men if this was during the dark days of military era?

Well it is still happening till date, that is my concern, so many cases have been happening even governors locking people up criticizing them, a lot of cases are on the internet if you need examples even up to Buhari's wife....

So what exactly is really the difference there?

Soldiers are still beating people up...

I witnessed IBB, Abacha and Abdusalami's regimes

You can lie for Africa! These are cases between individuals, and have nothing to do with Tinubu or FG. It mostly between two people involving the police and the court. You slander me or make libelous comments about me and I take you up through the police and the court. It is within my rights, the law and the constitution

Military government built most of the infrastructures we have today like Nigerian Port Authority, Delta Steel Company, Refineries, Ajaokuta Rolling Mill and so on. The civilian government has destroyed all those infrastructures.
