They should sell it to private investors if they have no interest in it again.

That's the tallest building in Ebonyi state at presco junction. I thought they once rumoured that a private investor purchased it for 500m

It's 11 story building

The foundation of the building is faulty, the building is not supposes to be their in the first place. Sam Egwu ignorantly wasted Ebonyi State resources on that project. That place can't carry more than 5 story building.

Probably because it has not been put to use. Mind you, when equipments are installed, paints and other things are put on it, the weight may be too much for the foundation to carry. Additionally, people will be working there adding to the weight. The building may be at the tipping point shaa.

And why can't you advocate for it's completion, Otti is completing Enyimba hotel abandoned since the time of Mbakwe while Mba is finishing international conference center and rangers hospitals both abandoned by Chimaroke administration.

The current Ebonyi governor appears to be dull.

He’s not dull. That man has started out very well.
300 Ebonyians going for scholarship in STEM courses in the UK
700 Ebonyians going for scholarship in Nigerian universities within the country.
Completing Dave’s stadium and Vanco flyover.
Took back popular Ebonyi state university teaching hospital back from Federal Government.
Increased Ebonyi state university university monthly subvention to 280 million monthly from 150million.
Took in 1,500 Ebonyians into civil service
Paid gratuities accumulating from 1996 when state was created.
Increased civil servants salary and paid 100k last December to each civil servant.
Revamped internal street roads, changed diesel traffic lights to solar.

Remodelled 39 public secondary schools in the state
Employed doctors nurses pharmacists in the state general hospitals found in each local government and gave the doctors prado jeeps each.

Abeg Ebonyi governments naturally from time immemorial don’t like paying for media hype. If you don’t come to the state or visit you will not know what is going on.

That project built 20 years ago just has a structural design default, it just deserves to be demolished, if you reconstruct e go fall.

the ground there is too loamy for 11 storey and the contractor didn’t pour enough stone and gravel to the foundation to hold 11 storey.

Na only Tinubu wey dey sandfill Atlantic Ocean using Hitech fit build that kind 11 storey in that loamy soil make e stand strong.

If you install equipments and human weights, e go collapse.

And you can’t redo the foundation of a built 11 storey can you?

Do you see why it’s now abandoned?

Good

It can probably be demolished from the top into a 4 storey building as the loamy soil can carry then rent it out to private investors.

Alright, I think I misjudged the guy, just that during Umahi's time his work was loud and clear but I understood the reason was because Umahi focused more on hardware aspect of governance while this particular governor is more of software which mostly is not visible.
. thanks for the clarification

Ebonyi World Trade Center shocked

I don't know why we have plethora of infrastructurally shy leaders manning the affairs of our society undecided

What stops successive govts from completing an infrastructure like this and leasing it out to investors instead of allowing it to rot away? undecided

Nwifuru, I hope you won't toe the path of your predecessors.

. Aside the fact that we came from the same Izzi clan,I swear that man dey fall my hand

Imagine that man bought Prado jeep worth more than 70m to each of his 35 commissioners in a state that is the poorest in the east and south of Nigeria. Funny enough his administration was dubbed people's charter of need yet he keeps pumping money into the pockets of the haves in the state while the poor languish in pain

His government is just for the rich and the political class while nothing is given to the poor

. Those Prado jeep he recently bought for the commissioners is totally unnecessary and a waste of the state's scarce resources

My only problem with him is that he is enriching the haves in the state the more while the poor wallow in abject poverty.

Mind you, me and the governor are from the same Izzi clan. I am from Abakaliki local government while he is from izzi local government

Those of you close to him should talk to him to look more at the way of the poor people in the state than he does to his cronies

Just because someone’s major policy is human development literally means you will not see giginatic public structures around. The development are in human beings not in stone and concrete and cement.

Besides the Dave’s flyover he’s building and stadium he is also completing are still in construction phase just one year after, so it’s not a finished project.

Dave has built a lot of structures, it’s time for his successor to invest in human beings and enrich them.

Did you go to goddy ogbaga axis behind Mile 50 ? You say nothing has changed.

Did you drive at night to notice the solar street lights? You say nothing has changed. Did you ply the road opposite pa ngele oruta stadium into izzi lane ? Very long stretch road made of concrete to improve rural to urban transportation of foodstuff, yet you say nothing has changed.

I’m not a government apologist, so I’ll not indulge you anymore.

Una complain dave focused in structures and didn’t improve human being standards, he left and his successor is doing so even in salaries, gratuities and emoluments, you say you don’t see anything in town. Yet I’ve highlighted streets for you to go confirm. Sadly you’re not in town, but you can ask your relatives to confirm if they have transport to go to those axis that i mentioned.

Goodnight

Exactly. Any governor who is focusing on human being development and capacity development by increasing salaries, scholarships, gratuities payment, buying cars for doctors et cetera, you will think he is not working because it is inanimate(not touchable with ordinary hands), but human being Development is an important aspect of development if you want to uplift a nation.

Governor Nwifuru currently has a degree in Law and said two days ago during Ex Governor Sam Egwu’s birthday party that if not for the later’s scholarship to Ebonyi indigenes he wouldn’t have afforded to write WAEC as things were so hard for him. So is the story among many who benefitted. But then people criticised Egwu for investing in human beings and not infrastructure. Lol.

Dave Umahi has done soo much in infrastructure. There’s no infrastructure you’ll mention that Ebonyi state does not have. So it’s senseable for Dave’s successor to invest in humans.
