I am surprised no one has mentioned DSC Steel town ( Delta Steel Company) Estate in Ovwian Aladja near Warri. The Estate was the largest estate in West Africa before the building of Gwarinpa in Abuja. Reason I don’t take Nairaland serious because it’s fast becoming a breeding ground for religious extremist and tribal bigots instead of a medium for credible information.

How is efab and Sunnyvale estate bigger than sun city estate. In Abuja after gwarimpa estate should be sun city estate in terms of biggest estates

Have you been to New York, London, Los Angeles. You think every country on earth is tribal and backward like Nigeria?

Non indigene will bring his money to invest and broke indigenes will pursue him away out of envy. 😂 Tufiakwa!

It is simple mathematics: there are more indigenes in every country/regio than non-indigenes. So, how can more non-indigenes own a greater share of real estate compared to the natives?

P.S. Every country is tribal. Humans are tribal beings. Even animals are tribal. The difference between theirs and ours is those people have money. Nigeria's tribalism is worse because the people doing it are poor. Being poor and tribalistic is very disgusting. If you must be tribalistic, have money, plenty of it.

It is not by being more that land is owned. How many indigenes of Eko are able to afford land there? If development is not stopped by indigenes and the land continues to appreciate, it gets expensive to the point land ownership is not by being more indigenes but if you can afford it.

Oga, non-natives cannot own more land than natives. It is not possible. Except in the Gulf States like the UAE, there is nowhere which has more non-natives than natives.

The majority of the Indians who own the properties are naturalised British citizens, aka natives in the eyes of the law.

Not up to 50%.

Again, British citizens, this time English people by ethnicity, own more land in the UK than any other group.

Ikeja GRA is known to be occupied by the crème de la crème of Lagos Mainland. It is heavily residential with a few government offices and other businesses. It is a serene and quiet environment. Bungalows, detached houses, duplexes, serviced apartments can be seen here.

Although the whole of Ikeja GRA was planned to be a residential estate, commercial activities have since taken over this area, especially along Joel Ogunnaike and Isaac John. There are however still some areas in Ikeja GRA that have maintained their residential characteristics like Oduduwa Crescent, Herbert Macaulay Crescent, Rev. Ogunbiyi and Fani-Kayode streets. Keke’s (tricycles) and bikes are the major source of transportation for people who aren’t mobile.

Although Ikeja GRA is not a gated community, there is a high-security presence as security men and armed personnel are available to ensure a peaceful atmosphere. The Nigerian Army Cantonment, Police College, Ikeja High Court, Nigeria Immigration Service are a few government parastatal in the area. Hospitals within Ikeja GRA include LASUTH and Reddington Hospital. The schools in this area include; Police College, Avi-cenna International School, Grange school, Oxbridge Tutorial College, S.T T Regency School. Some event centres here include; The Haven Event Centre and The New Unity Events Centre.

The article was published by Vanguard newspapers which is incidentally owned by a Chief Sam Amuka from Delta State who is an Itsekiri man but with an Urhobo mother.

Proper fact-checks should have been made by the Journalist that filed the report and newspaper Editor before publishing the article.
