In the first century Jewish community many heard about Jesus of Nazareth but their religious leaders have poisoned their minds against him and his disciples so instead of diligently studying the scriptures to figure out what this young man and his group stands for in that point in time most Jews dismissed whatever anyone has to say about Jesus and his group but what about Jewish proselytes in Beroea?

If you're not stupid you should know that in a personal race no one tells another how to run its only when it involves grouping that you need to tell others how everyone must do things that's why Paul compared what the Beroeans (a group) did to what Thessalonians (another group) did otherwise each person could have done things on their own without comparing and Paul or you wouldn't have to make comparisons.

Apostle Paul was displeased when Christians he preached to started making choices among the Apostles each saying i belong to Apollos, i belong to Paul and another saying i belong to Christ. 1Corinthians 11-12
