From the thread, it shows that IRCC is currently attending to applicants who did their biometrics in January. Your friend may receive his decision by August. The processing time for visiting visas in Nigeria is currently 175 days on their website.

Feb is still under processing. Like right now, ircc is treating Jan applications.
If ur friend can't login to his application by himself, that means d agent used his own email. The email ur friend used on d day of his biometrics is for vfs and not ircc. So d decision of ur friend's application will not be sent to him, it would be sent to d mail d agent used.

December applications are still expecting a decision.

Your friend is still within the processing time.
No issue at all.

For the mail, your friend email was used purposely for biometric, he won't receive the final decision from IRCC.

Your friend should be expecting decision by July/August

Hello House !

I started following this thread after my submission as i wanted to be sure i had done everything correctly.

I submitted my application officially 26th of January on the new portal. I still had my former biometrics valid so I didn’t bother to get a new biometrics done although i paid for biometrics along with my application fee.Its been months of waiting & finally, I got a passport request mail yesterday and a letter on my biometrics. I have the option of submitting a new biometric, if i want.

I had a valid US visa & UK visa as well as expired US & UK visas attached. It took 4 months & about 3 weeks.

Thanks to everyone. I’m rooting for you all.

Every Information you need, for all situations, is available on this forum, delibrately read as many pages as possible and very important, i involved God in this undertaken.

I am confused and need your advice on this matter.

I applied for a visitor visa with my kids. Just when I was about to apply for a student visa, I received this message:
Biometrics Collection Letter on June 25, 2024. I was actually expecting a decision after 4 months

When I submitted the application, I had the option to use my old biometrics or provide new ones. Since my current biometrics would expire in less than six months, I decided to pay for new biometrics which I did in - Biometrics Collection Letter: February 19, 2024

and it was confirmed by IRCC on My biometrics enrollment date was February 23, 2024, with an expiry date of March 2034.

After 4 months i got this message again - Biometrics Collection Letter: June 25, 2024 FOR another biometrics this is crazy to me

Is this a sign of a problem?
The worst part was that I submitted my passport for my Germany visa renewal just yesterday.

My application status online was last updated on May 24, 2024. Could this be a system error?

Why are they asking me to provide my biometrics a second time? Is this a red flag after four months of application?

Here are the dates of my communications and submissions:

- Biometrics Collection Letter: June 25, 2024
- Biometrics Collection Letter: February 19, 2024
- Submission Confirmation: February 16, 2024

It is a Biometrics Collection Letter, the same one I received in February when I submitted the application, with a 30-day notice to provide biometrics or the application may be refused.

The canada visitor visa fee is 100$ per person. For 3 of you is 300$ and biometric fee is 85$ each but your daughter is exempted from biometric because she is below 14 years and you won't have to pay biometric fee for her.

Hello Guys,

I got my GCMS note, and the officer said I did not provide Enough evidence about my financial circumstance in home country.

I believe I did and some documents might have been overlooked.

I want to request for reconsideration, but I think the webform is limited to 1500 words. Is there an email address I could use to send the reconsideration letter?

Hello house !

Please is there anyone who has voluntarily provided biometric even when the last biometric is still valid? I need to get some info.

I need to know how to go about that. I got a Biometrics validity mail before the PPR mail. I want to know if it is possible to provide biometrics now & if so how do i go about it. I paid for biometric fee along with the initial application fee.

Thanks much

You can attach a reconsideration request letter as an attachment to your webform.

Please, brothers and sisters, can someone advise me on how to upload a bank statement that is almost pages long? Also, when applying with my wife, should I create a separate account on IRCC or can we submit together? Any advice would be appreciated.

And how many months of bank statements are required?

If you are applying for a visitor visa, don't use that means to upload your employment letter; that is meant for people who got jobs in Canada. Use the additional document location to upload all your documents you believe you want to share with the visa office. You can merge the documents together and compress them to a clear size less than 2 mb. Best.

Compress the document using ilovepdf.com to less than 2 MB.

You can create a group account for your family, but you will still have to fill out the form for each individual separately. Make sure you make the application fee for both of you on the same day and choose the same date for biometrics so that both cases can be treated together. This is what I did for my family.
