This news appears to be a welcome development but in the long run it will be catastrophic. Henceforth, they may not spare any of their victims even after collecting ransom.

What we need is a total clampdown on the activities of kidnappers. There should be land and air operatives working round the clock to secure the release of victims. Unfortunately, these kidnappers are treated with kids gloves and they are operating with impunity.

Then no one will pay ransoms again... they dont release victims out of the goodness of their hearts. They do it for the interests of their evil business.

Haven't you been reading the news lately? Collecting ransome is no guarantee that the victims will be released. Unfortunately, people are always moved to pay the ransome whilst hoping to see their family member alive. It's a win-win situation for the kidnappers.
