I think Disttroy was saying about how remote workers are moving to AkwaIbom.
Na economy and Insecurity dey chase people from their states, I know a guy after his mother was kidnapped and released he abandoned the mansion he built for their family in village relocated her to Lagos
If those governors can be more responsive to secure their state and improve economy

Northern Middle class have fled to Lagos in large numbers over the past 10 years. The annoying thing is they are now doing as Muslim escapees do and trying to mold the environment to match the one they ran from.

Most of the governors sef live more in Lagos than their state

And if this exodus continues at the current rate Lagos will get worse, My street in Lagos when I visited last year, Everywhere na shop, I am sure the population of the area has increased 5 times since 2005

Fire can happen at anytime when it comes to this kind of plants .

The problem with those kind of plants is there are some component that are expected to be cold at all times and there are some components that are expected to be hot at all times. Any slight issue maybe due to human error or negligence could lead to serious catastrophic consequence for the operation of the plant.

The insurance will surely settle them . But the incident will give them a major set back in their operations

The law is a right move in the right direction .

Why will u be living in a civilized world and enjoying the privileges of living in a civilized world only for u to be promoting terrorism ?

If u want to promote terrorism maybe u should go and live with the terrorists themselves and enjoy the ideals of terrorism . Put mouth where ur money is ; don’t support them from afar when u can do it right at home with them.

Lagos is one of the worst cities to live in comparison to other World cities.

How can a Nigerian, in comparison with the other 36 cities, believe Lagos is worst cities to live in?

So, like this, Benin better pass Lagos?

grin grin

I think you miss the context that statement was made. Many people live in Lagos cos that's where the hustle is. If everyone in lagos is assured a monthly cash transfer that can comfortably sustain them, Lagos will become scanty.

Life is definitely better enjoyed in a less crowded city, this is factual. Ask Israelis their most developed city, they will say Tel Aviv. Ask them the least enjoyable city to live in, they will say Tel Aviv. This is simply because, Tel Aviv is too crowded leading to traffic congestion and high rentals.

You don go too far. I meant livability versus the likes of Windhoek, Lusaka, Dakar, Accra, Kampala, Cotonou, Maputo, Nairobi, Kigali, Yaounde and other similar cities, I no wan add cities from SA and North Africa cause it's daylight difference.

So which of these cities can Benin or Awka be compared with?

I can understand if a foreigner is trolling Lagos as a worst city to live.

But you a Nigerian? Lagos na heaven for 95% of other states

Like fleeing Boko Haram or ESN and getting to a safer place and promoting what you fled from

Lagos na like some state abroad. No jokes. grin

Hopefully other states to wake up and at least get to 50% of how Lagos is and take off plenty burden off the state.

I hear Cross Rivers and Akwa Ibom have good infrastructure, clean road and street, they should be actively looking to poach people away from Lagos.

Developing at least 3 ports at Apapa standard will achieve this result quickly.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015%E2%80%9316_New_Year%27s_Eve_sexual_assaults_in_Germany

During the 2015–2016 celebrations of New Year's Eve in Germany, approximately 1,200 women were reported to have been sexually assaulted, especially in the city of Cologne. In many of the incidents, while these women were in public spaces, they were surrounded and assaulted by large groups of men who were identified by officials as Arab or North African men.[11][12][13][14] The Federal Criminal Police Office confirmed in July 2016 that 1,200 women had been sexually assaulted on that night.[1]

By April 2016, statistics recorded by authorities indicated that out of the identified 153 suspects in Cologne who were convicted of sexual offenses and other crimes on New Year's Eve, two-thirds were originally from Morocco or Algeria, 44% were asylum-seekers, another 12% were likely to have been in Germany illegally, and 3% were underaged unaccompanied refugees.[21][22] By July 2016, the police stated that half of the 120 identified suspects of sexual offenses on New Year's Eve had arrived in Germany during the year 2015,[1][10] and most of those 120 had come from North Africa,[1] with four suspects having been convicted nationwide.[23] By November 2016, around 200 suspects of the sexual assaults[1] had been identified across Germany.

there was a mass exodus from the ND thanks to MEND. now we have wike and fubara reminding everyone of why no one wants to live in the ND. it also doesnt help when natives of the ND constantly mock people from ore sane societies as being fear fear. who wants to live in a place where violence is normalized as an inevitable fact of life?

El-Rufai that implemented the IGR model of Lagos was the same person that compared Lagos to hell.

There's a reason you hardly hear these governors make mention of implementing Lagos' policy on education, public health care, waste management, urban planning, housing, or pollution control. Tinubu is a good tax collector, but he's poor at creating livable cities.

Awka Ibom wants to build one seaport, the seaport is still in concession stage after more than 10yrs.

Meanwhile Lagos has built Lekki deep seaport and planning to build another one in Badagry.

Maybe just maybe if some of these states elect the so called "mediocre" Governors that Lagos has been electing, they can finally start putting their thinking caps on.

It will be a glorified slum because other 35 governors have failed and a significant part of their population they should be catering to are heading to Lagos to find opportunities not available in their state.
With the small land mass there is no way it wont be a slum when other governors are sleeping

Recently there was a child trafficking issue in a different state, it was Lagos state trafficking unit they were tagging to come help because the state does not have their own agency
I'm sure if you checked a lot of these cities in Africa I compared to Lagos, they have a significant part of the country's population in those cities compared to those living in the rest of the country, for example Namibia has about 25% of the country's population living in Windhoek, while Lagos houses just about 10% of Nigeria's population.

Lagos is populated not necessarily because of the failings of the governors from other 35 states nor because Tinubu and his cronies are performing some special magic, it's populated because of its geographical advantages, it's historical advantages as capital of Nigeria for the longest, and the advantages it enjoys as the defacto economic capital of the country.

Lmao.

Yet Soludo came to Lagos to study LASTMA, same with Alex Otti.

Waste management, Lagos has LAWMA

Traffic management, Lagos has LASTMA

Transportation management, Lagos has LAMATA. Till today no state has successfully been able to replicate the BRT system in their state.

Health care, Lagos has one of the best if not the best health care service delivery in the whole country.

Even Housing, Lagos has built more affordable housing than most of the states in the country combined.

Lagos State Fire Sevice remain the best fire service in the country by a long mile.

Should we talk about RRS compared to other security unit founded by other states?

Of course you wont see other Governors mentioning Lagos policy when they are inept and lack any real foresight.
